I'm always playing with new painting techniques, styles and trying to improve my skills. I recently changed how I base code, highlight and blend. I've painted up a few monsterous creatures as I've progressed my techniques and figured how would be a good time to see how well I can replicate it in a smaller scale. So I've started on a brood of 16 spine-gaunts.
Below is the first gaunt I've completed as the test gaunt. I've included a few life sized shots and a zoomed in "detail" shot. Let me know what you think!

I can't figure out if I like your highlights on the lighter color or the blue better but great all around.
