Well, considering their respectable point cost and amazing abilities, who doesnt like to field these guys? In my eyes they are a part of what makes the Eldar great.
Haha yeah dire avengers are sweet! Bladestorm, doom and guide is an amazing combo. Too bad I might do an Ulthwe army and it would be pretty unfluffy for all my troop choices to be taken up as Dire Avengers instead of guardians and storm guardians although I might just take 1 squad

Well, considering their bonuses for thier point cost, they are amazing. Two shots at a range that outdoes a rapid fire weapon. And their exarch being able to take bladestorm, along with thier decens BS and a respectable armor save. Don't see how you could lose with these guys.
They are quiet an amazing unit indeed.
Everybody loves bladestorm.

The Dire Avenger is a ccore model for an eldar army. They are also the most common aspect among the craftworlds so there are alot of them. I have read in some of the fictions how alot of the guardians will have spent time in the Dire Avenger temple. I could think you could use a unit of DA in an Ulthewe army supported by the famous black guardians. I sometimes even get Defend on them as it really helps to tie up horde forces with alot of attacks and adds in my favor the potential to survive and since they are a troop unit I want to do everything I can to make sure they survivie.
