while 4th ed was still in use, I was planning to make a nidzilla army, but now, due to the changes in rules that only infantry can score, this type of army might not do very well due to this new rule. what do you people think about this?

Nidzilla is still the biggest bunch of cheese there is. It will win almost any tournament entered.
Just use Zoanthropes in place of a Heavy, and fill the rest of your points with Gaunts. So now you have 7 MC's 5 Psychic Scream and you can shoot 4 to 5 squads to below 25% every turn. Run him off the board.
like others have said - even though a fex cannot hold an objective he is still a powerful unit that can take and deal a lot of damage.

Monstrous Creature. Tyranids use them alot as tank busters and they are one of our main heavy support choices. They have a lot of special rules that help them with this. More info on them is in the rulebook. Between the section on vehicles and the section on Assault's if I remember right.
I think the nidzilla list could still be viable. I mean the whole point was to mess your opponent up with all your MC's so how has that changed. You just need to pay a little more attention to the little guys in non-Kill point matches.
Also if you focus on holding one objective and simply using your beefed up MC's to contest the others you have still one. Even though Troops are the only ones who can score ANYONE can contest.
I believe it is still powerful. All you need to do is be a little less japanese godzilla-esque and more american godzilla-esque. Ie. take little zillas as well. Lots of them. They produce a lot of firepoewr that can really mess up anyone you like. Remember termagaunts are as good at shooting, point for point as tyranid twin dev warriors but with a shorter range. This is something not to be sneezed at because the damge they do is really scary!
ZIlla is still the way to go, just with a whole lot of little guys as well and a few warriors for synapse support (although htis may nto be as neccasary with more zoan's on the board, will have to see about that)
