    Two War Bosses

im gearing up for games day and making my 1750 army. im using maddok grotsnik and a biker boss.

my question is how many people actaully use two warbosses. maddok stats are simular to a boss. there for im basically running two. do many of you guys find this point effective. because for the cost of maddock i could field 26 orks and have 4 points to spare

Copout answer # 482: It depends

It all depends on your army. Personally, I think the Mad Doc might cost a bit much for a competitive 1750 list. I love using him, but I usually only bring him to 2000 point games and larger.

I'd use one warboss for each unit of nobz you plan to use in the army. One warboss on a bike with a powerklaw and cybork, attached to a unit of 5-8 nobz w/2-3 powerklaws, painboy, cybork, wauughh banner and bosspole is a great unit, but a second unit of nobz might leave your list a little light.

I'd use one warboss on a bike, attached to either a unit of nob bikers or a unit of warbikers with a nob, powerklaw and bosspole. After that, most of the points should probably be spent on troop choices. You might be able to get away with 2 smallish units of nobz with warbosses, so it's up to you.

I'd always have one warboss for each unit of nobz though. They need to count as troops to be effective. A warboss without a unit of nobz is usually a waste. I'd rather attach the Mad Doc to a large unit of boyz than a warboss. Of course, I've had mixed success with the Mad Doc on foot, so again, it's up to you. Good luck!

Grax has the right idea. Bosses make nobs troops, and that is reason enough to take them. Kombine that with a good selection of gear and a great deal of killiness and a Warboss is an awesome choice. Plus, they're cheap so you can take two dead 'ard HQs for around 250 points.

I almost always use a Boss to escort ==My== Biker nobs or Meganobs and soon-to-be-when-Black-Reach-comes-out normal Nobs. I would use another, but then I'm missing out on the KFF.

I tend to use only a Big Mek for my HQ choices since I tend to stay away from spending too many points on HQs.
