Hi there, I'm new to this forum and 40K forums in general. I play an Eldar army but am unsure about something to do with the various Grav Tanks they can field. The confusion I have is in regards to the way they work when they go flat out and use their Star Engines. They can all move 24 inches (being a fast skimmer) and then an additional 12 when using these right? Also if they do, do they get any kind of cover save? If so, what is it and how far do they have to move to get it? I know there's a 3+ cover save for jet bikes and the like going as fast as possible but is there any other equivalent for these tanks? Trying to get Wave Serpents close enough to unleash troops for assaulting long range armies (like my friend's Tau) can be very difficult at the best of times so any advantage would be very useful. Thanks fr any info you guys can provide.
They would all get an additional 12 on top of the flat out rule. Looking at the new rule book, I dont see anything about getting a better than 4+ cover save for moving farther than flat out. Jetbikes get a 3+ since their regular save is 3+ and theyre smaller and harder to hit I guess.
yeah 4+ is the best you can do here, but get your farseer to cast fortune on it, give it spirit stones, and it becomes VERY hard to take out.
