I'm pretty sure the closest you can get to what you want is 8 spinegaunts and 8 fleshborers.

I checked theWarstore.com and am extremely surprised to say I couldn't find an area where you could order the spinefists seperately from the gaunt bodies.

What I would do is ask the players at your local gaming store if they have spinefists to trade.

If all else fails too many packing peanuts (gaunts) are better than too few.

Actually, IIRC, you can make 9 spinegaunts out of one gaunts box....
Not much of an improvement, but thats 1 more than you probably expected!

Seriously. Great place to get extra bits at good prices (or even units premade at great prices, if you're lucky)! I was able to make three 'fexes out of one box by buying an additional two legs/torso/tail/base for only $12. Much better than having to buy an additional two 'fex boxes at $45+ each!

I make the spine gaunts out of the gaunt torsos and termagaunts out of the horma torsos. I love my termagaunts and feel the points spent on them is worth it to a great degree. They can really dish out the pain to any enemy that strays too close (they are as good as twin dev warriors, just with a shorter range!)

I say do it my method, listen to Ogre or wait till youbuy some warriors because you get some spines with them too. Although I'm not sure if you get more than 3....
