Welcome to Librarium Online!
hey folks, i've been thinking lately and decided to let you think for me a bit.
which support weapon is best suited to take on both light armour(IG, deamons) and some tougher as SM and CSM and returning alive whit a victory on the shoulder?
Personally my favorite support weapon is the vibro cannon. It can be placed completely out of LOS and still hurt things, and as long as you choose your lines carefully it can start damaging several different squads with a single shot.
I personally dont like them. The shadow weaver is nice since it has a lot of range and can hangout in the back lines somewhat protected. The other two can be powerful but need to be closer and need support to be defended. Add to that the flexibility of the Fire Prisms and the durability of the wraithlords it makes it a clear decision for me.
If you have a spare 100 or so points 2 Vibro cannons is one of the best buys you can get. They wreak sheer havoc. Always place them out of LoS, and try and hit as many things as you can with them. Remember, they dont do much damage to individual units, but the whole army at once. Particular favourite to use them on is Grey Knights, my vibros were awesome in that game.
ok, i think were agreed whit which is best on infantry units, what about a mechanized army? i think that could happen when fighting either IG or SM
even so that the fact that glancing hits ar not as good as they used to? the chance of getting a double immobilised is 1/10
actually i do want to blow em upp for the victory points, you do after all only get ½ points for an immobolised or damaged vehicle, but i can agree whit that a vibro cannon is very, very good after putting the fact it don't need LOS
Id go D cannon since regardless of AV you have an equal chance. plus the idea of opening a hole into the warp to rip a vehicle to pieces sounds cool
