Welcome Necron Brothers,
as you surley on my postcount noticed i am new to these boards as well as to the necron family.
I was raised to replace an necron leader in an ongoing campaign. The enemy are the eldar and surprisingly the Orcs. Our temporary ally is a surprise as well. The Witch Hunters fight the same enemy.
As i got informed that my purpose is to lead necron troops against the eldar first i seeked them to do test Battles. I just completed the third Battle against the Eldar and must admit i have lost all of them. But what the enemy did not know i wasnt really fighting for or expected a win. I used those battles to test the necron units, to experiment and to learn the habits of all our troops.
To the point. The campaign will now continue and i want to surprise the expirienced eldar leader with his defeat. The mission is to seek and destroy the eldar. The intelligence from the past Battle offers us nearly the whole eldar army list.
It is an
* 1 Autarch for 130 pts
* 1 Runeprophet 160 pts
* 5 Banshee + Exarch 118 pts
* 5 Rangers 120 pts
* 5 Rangers 120 pts
* 3 Shining Spears + Exarch 117 pts
* 1 Falcon 185 pts
* 1 Support Weapon Battery 50 pts
They will be reinforced by unknown 250 pts. We guess at least a serpent with additional troops.
The Eldar leader loves his Jetbikes. And they are hard to hurt cause of speed and their Fortune. The Banshees will be for sure in the Falcon. And Doom will be upon us.
My plan ist to set up
1 Necron Lord with VoD and RO 200 pts
11 Warriors 198 pts
10 Warriors 180 pts
10 Immortals 280 pts
7 Scarabs 84 pts
6 Sarabs 72 pts
1 Mono 235 pts
I am uncertain to shock the mono. Also I thought of replacing the mono with more warriors and scarabs (one unit disruption fields?). And here i ask for your advice. Please keep in mind that if i win i have to continue with that set up and get 250 pts reinforcments. If i loose i can set up new 1500 pts. Also there is an Orc waiting. Only information lots of Orcsoldiers with nearly no machines.
Ah well if it's a 4th ed game your army should work just fine. What points are you playing at? If it's a 1500pt match I'd suggest dropping a scarab squad and picking up 6 destroyers.
If you ever happen to move to 5ed I'd suggest fanagling in a third squad of warriors instead.
Its an 1250 pts match.
After that Eldar battle the campaign continues to 1500 pts, than comes a commando mission and finally 1850 pts. The winner must use its previous armylist +250 pts for the next battle... while the looser can set up a whole new armylist. Its a campain with the tree structure. The campaign started and will end with 4th edition rules.

here is my tactica on how to beat necrons with eldar, just reverse the advice.
In terms of your list, i recommend taking scarabs and wraiths, because: a squad of scarabs on your flank will prevent his spears getting close, and spears don't like fighting swarms. wraiths would destroy his sniper squads with ease, probably working most efficiently in squads of two for this role, three if you're cautious.
Destroyers would also be good for taking out those small squads left, especially squads containing his hq's (or sniping Hq's if he messes up) his low model count makes these hurt even more.
don't take a monolith, it doesn't look like it'll work well against this list
replace the monolith for a squard of destroyers and use 1 scarab unit to block shining spears use other scarab unit to charge rangers.against orks the nightbringer is awesome also 2 units of destroyers work really well since they can just move back and keep firing.by the way make sure you kill those banshees quick or else there tear your units to pieces
Scarabs are great against T3, which Eldar are. Personally, I haven't been using the RO in 5e. I find that quite often, my unit is swept before anyone gets to make a WBB roll anyway. The VOD is a must-have for taking objectives, though.
