My Tau Cadre is themed around a strike force so it has alot of Stealth suits and not much else and this has worked fine agianst my mates armys: 2 Imp G, 1 D eldar, 1 Necron
I had to adapt the army to fight Nec's but against everything else they just cut through them. Then on a dark stormy night one of the Imp players desided to play Dark angels, now if im not getting pounded over the head by massed plasma cannon fire, im watching my stealth suit's burst cannons do absolutely jack against there armour. errrr any tips???

get a hammerhead or a few broadsidess, that should help
a few fireknife crisis suits should take care od thier power armour.

Rail rifle p'finders with normal p'finders, to get a markerlighted target - hit on a 2 and wound on a 2, no armour save
To do that Benio, youd need two seperate squads of Pathfinders. One markerlighting, then then other to use their RailRifles with the 2+ hit cause of the markerlights. For me, the best anti Marine weapon tends to be 1) Hammerhead (blast or solid) 2) Crisis suits.
I have taken down quite a few marines with massed pulse rifle fire though. A black templar assault squad got ripped down by two full squads rapid firing into them.
also FW take em down good too b/c the more shots the more they die, at least thats how i see it

I play Blood Angels a lot and from experience i know that battle suits are a key element in beating them. They have the diverse fire power and agility to beat marines. Broadsides are great at destroying tanks and terminators. The stealth team are great for harassing troops, and crisis have many differant componations they can use to kill the marines. Fire warriors are good for concentrating fire on one unit at a time. Kroot can be used to defend your fire warriors from the dreaded close combat. Pathfinders are awsome. They can mark targets for you suits so that the suits have a greater advantage at destroying tanks and heavy units. They also can call down seekermissles from their devil fish transport that can penetrate most any armor on a tank and cause instant death to marine troopers. They also can have rail rifles that terminate troopers. The tau hammer head gunship is great for fighting mass units of troopers or destroying tanks plus its a skimmer! And then their is the ethereal which can help your warriors stay in the fight.
Hope this helps
If you charge a bunker and die, its called being reckless, but if you charge the bunker and win, it's heroic!
Ion Cannon, get two of those and watch a squad of marines disapeir every turn you get.

-Support your local game store! Don't buy online or from GW stores.-
I was gonna suggest the same thing but you beat my Cypher19
Ion cannon on a regular basis kills 2 per turn. I would go crisis team. I never use stealth against marines.....
