    Returning to my origins.

A lot of you won't know this (or me, for that matter) but I started off with Tyranids. Way back in 3rd. So, I'm coming back sometime about Christmas. And I'm wanting to go the opposite end of the spectrum. Before I was red in tooth and claw. Now I'm wanting to cover my opponents in acid and watch them scream.

So, I was thinking. I could run

    A devourer MC list.

Or a Warrior Heavy template list.

Which do we think, from the general nid community?

    Thanks

I really love TL Devourers, and running a list full of them is really fun. 5 TMCs fitted with TL Devourers is a thing of beauty.

Depending on the size why not both? And sorry but I had to snicker at the "way back in 3rd" comment. Personally I would think a mix would be pretty effective while allowing you to have broad synapse. The past few games my units of warriors have been increasing in size (all equipped with deathspitters and 1 barbed strangler).

Both could be fun. Only problem is a shooty warrior squad is so expensive compared to a dakkafex.

Maybe if I divided it evenly. I have 8 slots. Make 4 Blast template and 4 dakka. Hmm....

I'm enjoying a mix of MC w/ dev and warriors w/ devs. Really if you go all out shooting, you can field both to your taste.

Actually basic ES/Deathspitter warriors are reasonably cheap. Maybe throw spinefists/fleshborers on them as a points-filler secondary weapon. And even without upgraded strength they're throwing S5 blast templates around like candy. Maybe add in a venom cannon for that extra oomph.

What troops would you use though? Termigaunts, spinegaunts?

Gonna give your MCs acid maw? Just curious how far you're going to push the theme.
