Hey everyone, I'm painting my shining spears soon, and am having trouble deciding what color to paint them. Here's the backstory.
My craftworld's color scheme is black and green, with white accents and purple soulstones. I'm painting my aspect warriors so they somewhat match this scheme while retaining elements of their traditional colors. For example, my banshees will still have white armor, with black helmet, greaves, and gauntlets. Their hair will be green. For my spiders, they're going to be mostly black and white with red highlights. Their soulstones will likely be green. And so on.
Problem with spears and avengers is that their color schemes are the exact same. I want to mix it up. I am considering keeping painting the spears purple, but I don't want them to look like Freddie Mercury on a jetbike.
Here's the challenge. The color can't already be taken by an aspect, though a much darker or lighter version is acceptable. It also must have black and/or green on it.

Off the top of my head:
Jetbikes black with green markings. If you want more purple, the seat might work.
Do the riders in Enchanted Blue and maybe Fortress Grey if you don't want to use the White.
Freddie Mercury on a jetbike....lol
crack on we are the champions, dance around, you will win every game.

I like the sounds of the purple actually and I dont think you will go all "Queen" at all. I am currently paintiung my eldar purple with bleached bone and yellow contrasts. The purple looks good I think, a deep shade and then higlighted with one of the lighter varities and it looks quite nice I think.
