I played a game last night, DE and Orks VS Space Wolves and Imperial Fists. And let me tell you, those of the imperium took a beating that night.
Today, those same orcs decided they didn't get enough killing done so came after to me. I lost only 8 models that game.
And lastly, a red Smurf army came to try and stop me, but lost a fairly grueling battle. I'll try and get Battle reports up later.
Just thought I would gloat a little.
simply put. do agonizers fall under the type of weapon that gets a reroll. I havent seen anythin with a "Poisoned Weapon" tag ala Power Weapons.
does this only apply to things that specificly Tag it Poisoned or any weapon which wounds on a fixed number

this is where you should ask rules questions.
in answer to your question though, no, the agoniser does not get re-rolls. Also, i don't think poisoned weapons do either, they just get a specific roll to wound no matter the toughness of what they're hitting.
The confusion between the Agoniser and Poisoned Weapons arises from –
• The similarity of a fixed dice roll number to wound,
• And the dissimilar effects on any armour.
There is indeed a re-roll on poisoned weapons and it comes from the strength of the wielder being the same or higher the toughness of the victim and thus failed wounds must be re-rolled in close combat only.
To me the bypassing of the ‘To Hit Chart’ is not enough to form a class of weapon by itself. This is merely a mechanism that forms part of a weapons rule.

In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
On the other topic. All this stuff about poison weapons allowing you an take an armour save I have to disagree with in favour of another solution. Basically it doesn't say in the description of our weapon that it is a poison weapon as per the rule book and hence is not a poison weapon as per the rule book. It is a poison weapon unto itself. The long and the short of it being that we do what our codex says and don't get the re-roll for toughness.
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
Ack, to much to remember. Three different battles within hours of each other. Oh well, I think I'll pass on the first one for sure.
Long and the short of the first. Space Wolves and Imperial Fists versus my Dark Eldar with some Ocs lookin to do some Humie crumpin. 1000 points each. The board, well, it was two tables pushed together with stackes of comic boards, you know the things that go behind them in sleeves so they don't get bent as easy, boxes, foam sheets for area terrain, unused chimera, rhino, and land raider, and the Macragge crashed ship. It was down and dirty with little cover.
The orcs held up their end of the deal by taking most of the fire the first 2 turns till they hit like a Tsunami against anything in their path. My Lord lead a group of wyches, and as luck would have it, they slaughter in my turn, then got gunned down to just the Lord and Succi. And that was one nasty pair.
In the end, the game was Dawn of War, Capture and Control, of the boys there was only 5 models from two mobs of 30 left, but they held one objective while a small sniper held ours. The only thing left for the SMurfs was an immobile Pred and Thunderfire canon.
It was fun, nasty, and full of laughs. Yet, I just can't bring myself to tell them that all the wounded are being used as playthings. heh

I remind my opponents about that everytime I take a prisoner thats what dark eldar are
"Thank him who puts me loath to this revenge on you who wrong me not for him who wrongd"
Unfortunately outside of soem common sense the agoniser isn't a poisoned weapon.
Nor ironically are poisoned blades/scissorhands.
Man I do love RAW.
