As the title suggests, is he good/worth his points.
He looks awesome to me but no one seems to include him in their army. I've had a lot of success with slapping him with some avengers in a serpent, disembarking, splitting up and using him to pie plate a tac squad. His would on 2+ power weapon isn't anything to shrug off either. He has the same combat ability as an avatar with attacks i.e generally hitting on 3s then 2s with 4 attacks but is fragile and open to instant-death if you aren't careful.
So what do you all think???
"I did my first model at the age of 7"
Wow. When I first read that I misinterpreted it. Bad.
im not sure how effective he is on his own, but in my seer council hes a monster.
eldrad, yriel, 10 warlocks 2x enhance, 1 x embolden
I've only fielded Yriel a handful of times, but usually as part of a super-killy banshee squad backed up by a doomseer. He's always very effective at killing dreads, MCs, and space marine command squad "god squads".
enhance gives him ini 8 and ws7, he does become a true ninja.
its fun to break him away from the council towards the end of a game and charge him into a bunch of marines and drop the nuke.
with defenders react you really tear them apart.
I've never used him but I've considered running him in a seer council as others have suggested.
Everything I have told you, even this, is a lie.
im finding him more effective than an avatar, and it frees up an eztra power for eldrad
with the council + avatar i need to cast fortune twice. - leaving 1 power
with yriel in the council i need to cast it once - means i can doom a unit, and potentially mind war a power fist in there.
