The overwhelming opinion seems to be that Wyches are, for lack of a better word, fugly. When we FINALLY get redone, do you guys think that the half-naked gladiator men and women should stay? I mean, space gladiators sounds cool but GW kinda messed up a little bit on the models. Should they be all women like their Dark Elf counterparts maybe? Scrap their look completely?
Personally, I would want to see more exotic weapons, no man G-strings and generally less monkey faces and unnatural muscles. Maybe get rid of the gladiator theme altogether and give them tabbards, face masks etc.

At first I didn't like the Whyches myself [started with the Dark Eldar a long time ago, my first army. They were new back then], but they grew on me over time. The man-kini's are actually more one leg wrapped in leather and the other left bare. Their weapons look amazing even if the techniques at the time meant they come across as overly bulky. The most recent Whyches [there were only 5 originally that I can remember, have the box set lying around] were an upgrade in many way's but they could do with a revamp.
When it does come to a Dark Eldar re-write, we're most likely going to see new plastic warriors, new plastic Whyches [they're too popular to keep metal and provide reliable sales, and most armies that get re-done have the 3 plastic remakes, the metal packs going plastic, then half the rest being re-done in metal anyway], and a -lot- of the fluff re-done. I can't see Mandrakes, Grotesques or Warp Beasts staying as they are, Hellions are likely to get re-worked a touch as well and the Talos is likely to get a bunch of new rules too. They'll also likely expand the range with a new unit or three as well.
All in all, we've been waiting for years to see the army re-done, and the community is willing to wait a little bit longer so long as we know it's coming. Even if we are cursing a lot more now then we were back then.
You wanna have fine Wyches, convert the Dark Elf Witch Elves.
Now I have heard all this many times before, but what puzzles me is exactly ‘why’ players think they are ugly.
We are DARK Eldar after all and all these models are high on drugs, fight only armed with knives and wear nothing more than sticky tape for clothing – how good would anyone look under those conditions?
I do think that a good paint job goes a loooong way to making these vintage models look believable and personally I don’t mind them at all.
Perhaps it’s their flat ‘pinned against the wall’ postures that have people up in arms? I dunno.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
I actually really don't like the dark elf witches.
I think they are pretty fugly as well.
Much prefer to go with harliquins and modify them, or just modify your own fluff.
I wouldn't mind seeing them change to the face mask wearing type. More dark and scary as you don't know what they are like underthe mask.
It would work for me.
Quite like the idea of the not much armour though. sits with the satline well.
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!

WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
They're Dark Eldar (bad girls are hot, hotter than good girls)
They CHOOSE to wear almost nothing (if they got it, they gonna flaunt it!)
Its also in a fantasy world, so they should automatically be hot. Like in anime, for example.
Ha ha, agreed
