Welcome to Librarium Online!
Okay, this has surely been discussed before, but could I take a unit or two of Imperial Guardsmen in a DE army? Possibly 9 lead by a Haemonculus, or sybarite. given a pair of close combat weapons, no ranged weapon, and at a very low points cost?
I ask this because in "The Annals of Terror", p45 Codex: Dark Eldar, It says:This sounds like I could have some humans serving the DE, promised glory and treasure (in lies), and send out into the front line to protect the Elite Warriors of the True Eldar.Others I saw, humans amongst them, who took this depraved life with natural empathy. They bowed down to the Eldar and treated them as Lords, in return for favours. It is claimed that the most promising are taken as apprentices by the Haemonculi. Most end up as twisted creatures in permanent agony [Grotesques], but others survive and learn, to be let free again into the outside world to spread their corrupt ways.
That's tough... but that's exactly why I invented the USSR!
World Eaters - 2000pts
Dark Eldar - 2000pts
Imp. Guard - 2000pts, 270 men
Go and read Lelith's special rules and at the bottom it will say something in italics about allying forces in page like 135 in the big book. and then read that ( i haven't actually read it yet soi don't know what it says but it sounds like you could do it)
the IG would just have to be slaves though
Sounds interesting. What I think would be cooler would be if you could have humans as slaves, sent out (grot style) to clear minefields, soak up fire, etc. There could even be some sort of special rule about Imperials being hesitant to fire upon them, maybe having to take a Ld test. You'd have to convert guardsmen to be chained together and, I'd guess, unarmed and rather gaunt looking. I'd would be a great idea though.
Death is my meat, terror my wine.
The Incubi posted something similar to your idea Demonbane, but it was you who called him "stupid".
BTW I am not dissing on anyone or P.Oed by any chance, so don't bark at me .
