It's got to be two Scatter Lasers, hasn't it? I did think about EML but I would honestly prefer to have dedicated anti-tank or anti-personnel rather than a jack of all trades weapon.
Do you agree?
I don't, but I can definitely see the advantage of having dual scatter lasers. I think that the Plasma missile does a good job of putting wounds onto infantry, especially since anything touched by the blast is hit by it, and the AP of a plasma missile is good enough to negate the armor save of most basic troop choices. Six plasma missiles can put a lot of wounds on horde type squads of infantry. The advantage to EMLs is also that they can fare as good anti-MEQ weapons as well. Though the rate of fire is decreased, a full squad of krak missiles is gonna kill just about anything. The bonus of being able to target tanks is secondary in my mind. Like Fire Dragons, 6 shots might be overkill against some tanks, but when employed against heavy infantry, it works just fine.
I guess it kind of depends on how you're using them. If you're only taking one at a time, then maybe it would be best to take scatter lasers and dedicate them to one specific task. I personally think that a full squad is better suited to carry EMLs in order to fill both roles well, as you have a greater chance of getting those points back.

I think you need to spend more time on your floor.
2500 Black Templars
I'm fielding a full squadron of 3.
I disagree with your argument about Krak missiles - even 6 missiles is only going to kill 2 or 3 marines a turn on average. Plasma missiles are perhaps useful but I think the Str 4 is just not good enough vs MEQ.
I think I would prefer to mount anti-tank on less vulnerable targets like a Fire Prism or a WS-mounted Fire Dragon squad, and on the whole with BS 3 I think it's best to have as many shots as possible.
Scatter Lasers are where it is at. With low BS you need as many shots as possible. They kill hordes faster than anything else, and even kill more marines per turn than missiles, even if those marines aren't in cover.
In addition to 3 scatter laser walkers I have also been running 2 brightlance walkers recently, as they fit my list theme and build. While I won't recommend them for everyone's tank hunting needs, I haven't been too disappointed. Two shots helps mitigate their low BS, and their lances cut through heavy armor the rest of my list generally has trouble with. EMLs are only s8, and so don't actually do nearly well enough to only have a couple shots against AV over 12. Keep them hidden in cover and pop out to take pot shots. As long as you keep return fire to a minimum (and keep them in separate squads to minimize losses)they should be able to last long enough.
This only works, though, because everything is AV10 in my army, and there are so many threats. Lascannons are a real waste against me, and since there is so much to shoot at something has to survive.

Though I have yet to use Walkers, I've considered running a squadron of three walkers, one armed with two BL, the other two with a BL and a Star Cannon apiece. 8 high str AP 2 shots is enough to make terminators sweat and 4 bright lances gives the squad good anti-tank potential. Coupled with guide they could be deadly. Thoughts?
I was also thinking about the above scatter lasers. Heck of a lot of shots.
I don't think it's viable to buy such expensive weapons on such a fragile vehicle.
i got my prisms and WLs, and everything else more secure then walkers ding the anti-tank for my side.
i would rather take star cannons, or lasers on walkers. just think. twin cannons meens 4 S6 AP2 shots! and 3 of em is 12! that could kill most marines, terminators, and some light armored tanks if necessery.
aslong as someone don't pop up saying that there twin-linked cuase there not.
I've only proxied lists or seen other people use them, but I think if you dedicate a farseer with guide to any loadout of walkers it becomes devastating however you use them.
At my store someone had eldrad guide 2x3 units of walkers with scatter lasers against orkz and he wiped out a squad of ork boyz and his nobz unit (i think that's what they're called) in one round of shooting. I'd say that's pretty good.
Thanks for the advice guys.
For me this is a choice depending on what i want them to do and what sort of force will be involved.
If i'm fighting a hoarde army then it's 2 scatter lasers
If I'm fighting MEQ i tend to mix in a star cannon per walker. This saved my ass vs some deathwing termies last week.
I've never used the BL or ML as i tend to give the heavier AT weapons to my wraithlords (a lot more survivable)
Just my 4p
