lol, beside, i know, one warrior.(dog ate it, I swear!)
Ok, I have one army(night Lords) and am working on necrons, my second. So far what I've got is:
8 flayed ones
I'd like to have a competative list for 1750 games. I have been out of the necron loop and haven't played against them since fifth came out, so I don't really know what's working and what's not. Thanks for any advice.
Well I'd say a box of warriors, since right now with only 19 you can't field a legal list. Then you'll be able to field the standard 3 squads of 10. Then look into getting more destroyers/immortals. Really it depends on what you're trying to go with. Get the warriors and toy around with what you have, then see if there's anything else you might want.
With only 19 Warriors you're shot the requirment. A Battleforce box should set you right up and give you some more Destroyers as well.

Necrons ~4500pts / Orks ~2000pts / Thousand Sons ~750pts
HOW TO LIGHT A MONOLITH
Destroyers. Like 12 more of them. Or, at least 7, then a ton of scarabs on the field.
But yes, first purchase needs to be a warrior box.
so destroyers are really that good? 3 6/4 shots that aren't too hot at popping tanks anymore for 50 points that can reload. That sounds good, but I would think against the right army with enough speed and /or firepower they could make quick work of you. But I've not got the experience with them to know.
My idea was one more wraith, 11 more warriors, one more spyder and 2 more flayed ones. Then without the NB I would have 1500. I do want my list to be effective, and not just \an uncompetative piecemeal assortment of what I've got, and I've certainly not GOT to take everything I have everytime.
IMO, 15 destroyers is far more cheesy than 3 monoliths. Imagine both of those in one list (hide some warriors somewhere!)

so they get WBB from a lascannons, missile launchers and most odnance don't they
First and foremost, a box of warriors, with 19 not being able to even field a legal army. If you proxy something as a 20th, even 20 isn't enough a bigger game, to easy to phase out. You want at least 30 warriors out there in 3 squads of 10. After the warriors, get some more destroyers. You may not think they're that great, but after you play a couple games with at least 9 of them out, jetting back and forth along the flanks, you'll see that they're one of the best units in the game, even with the gauss nerf. 1 squad of them can still take out a land raider. Remember, the hits are communulative, once he runs out of weapons to be popped, next is disabled, and then boom.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
Ok, I'm a huge fan of mobility and versatility and those fit the bill to a T. Maybe I'll look for a good deal on the warriors/scarabs/dextroyers box set.
