Welcome to Librarium Online!
So I have a strange feeling that by posting this I'm beating a long dead horse. I tried searching back several pages and tried using the search feature built into the forum but I couldn't find a post about biovores. So the million dollar question are they worth taking or are sniperfexes just that much better? I ask because with the indirect fire I can bury them in terrain during deployment. The acid mine has an ap of three and rolls 2d6+3 for armor penetration against vehicles which sounds good to me so I was wondering what experiences people have had with this unit.
I like them, but it depends on your enemy. Eldar hate them as they have a few open topped models which take a beating, and lots of frail troops that can go splat. Marines however are inside a tougher brand of tin can and can take more punishment. If you have the spare points, take a single or pair of 'vores and try them out. They are great fun and people often ignore them, thinking they are weak, until their predator goes pop!
