i just finished reading Dark Disciple and in the epilouge the "undying one" is realeased. Is this the outsider, or just some superpowerful necron weapon? the book centers around the search for necrontry artifacts and the realease was caused by the use of one so the necron nature isn't really in question.by Anthon ReynoldsLarger than any battleship, It lifted towards the dark sky, powered by engines far beyond human comprehension, for it was created by the beings that had been in exsitance before the stars had been formed.
it seems kinda big for a ctan...
ps mods if this belongs in the fluff forum or if the book quote is against copyright laws my bad

Blood for the Blood god
i<---- this should be a forum Smilie
Yeah, its probably one of their star eating tomb ships. There isn't ALOT of documentation on them. Only been in a few books. The dogpoop 2nd dawn of war book talks about one, and if I remember right, it was pretty damn big before the battlebarge/eldar fairy ship blew it up.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
it's a giant tombship, even by tombship standards. The orks are the only race to have seen one of these and lived to tell the tale (not sure how)
My guess is that these things are the C'tan's personal tombships, the nightbringer's was put into the warp.
it is some kind of ship, could be anything really considering in the new space marine codex there's a story of a living planet the necrons created (very unicron stylee) that went on a devastating rampage.
as for the undying one, he's different to the ship. the undying one is actually the necron that Jarulek and Marduk face at the end of the first book (dark apostle) when they take the nexus arrangement. from the description, he comes accross as a necron lord of immense power who floats above the ground and has a multitude of insect like legs that dangle from below him (i imagine him looking like a destroyer lord but the bottom half is actually tomb spyder rather than destroyer)
