Welcome to Librarium Online!
well im new to these forums but not to the gaming of 40k .. although i really would like feed back. this army is built for no Monoliths and to me seems very VERY solid.
2x H' Destroyers
2x H' Destoryers
7x scarabs w/ D-fields
Phase out = 13
my point army is basically to not scare people i vs by not having a Monolith alot of them tend to not wanna vs me when they see the monolith so i decided this bulky army might be good to not scare them away i would like Comments and criticism and thank you if u have read and looked through this army.
woops spelling error, was meant to say "my army" ....
i was considering add immortals if i drop HD's? not sure but comment me about this as well
For future reference, this might be more at home in the Army Lists sub-forum, but welcome to LO regardless.
I would split your warriors into 4 squads of 10, to minimize any sweeping advances. Heavy Destroyers are also an interesting choice, I've never been particularly fond of choosing them over regular Destroyers. They'll be handy for heavy armor though, they have the lowest AP in the Necron army (I prefer the number of shots is all).
Other than that, I've had a ridiculously stable army list by not using a 'Lith and bulking up on Warriors. The Ordnance is nice, but Gauss fire and the sheer sturdiness of the Warriors can prove to do well. If you give the Lord Lightning Field you can attempt the ever-popular "Bug Zapper Technique"...
The Monolith is scary, but far from a good reason to avoid playing against a person... they're quite silly if they are going to think a Warrior heavy army is going to be any nicer on them.
oh thank you for the reply, and yes i was thinking about that bugg zapping technique and just change around my cron lord's upgrades .. i think its also known as flying circus that technique, i was thinking the 4 squads of 10 warriors in each but ill have so Much trouble trying to Kill orks unless ill stay back and shoot them down one by one to i slay them ... the cron lord and scarabs with d fields and lightning field should take alot down even if i have to sacrafice my Lord but seems like a good thing to do.
No, this list is far from the flying circus archetype/organization. That involves a lord with an Orb, and a VoD. With this the lord "flies" around the field (usually) with a full, or as full as possible, squad of immortals. I should know, I play this way.
This list does look like it should fare quite well. Give it a shot and let's have at the results!

Or if ur goin to be facing orks have the NB kill them all with his nasty farts and evil stares lol XD
The list is nasty enough. One thing I would tend to do though is max out on Destroyers rather than taking the Heavy versions. It's cheaper for a start....
Ok, so now there will come the question of "But what happens when I'm up against some big nasty thing and I don't have my flying lascannon with its single shot with me?"
Well, multiple shots from a Gauss Cannon can actually provide more problems for your opponent simply because of the rate of fire (RoF). The Gauss rule also means that you have an even chance of smacking some big gribbly from a decent range too!
"What about armour though?"
Again, you can rely on the heavier RoF to do the job for you. All hits on anything of AV12 or more are going to be Glancing. Oh dear - no more Destroyed results straight off. However, let's look at the rest of the Damage Table and we see that 50% of this table can effectively remove a tank too if it suffers sufficient damage to its weapons systems. Immobilisation #1 stops it moving. #2 removes a weapon, and so on. So does "Weapon Destroyed". Remove all weapons and the next one kills the vehicle. Sounds like a big job? Not when you're firing 15 shots from a 5-man Destroyer unit at the vehicle, or 30 from two squads.
I never take Heavy Destroyers and have yet to find difficulty in removing Leman Russ tanks. It's a case of concentrate your firepower. Necrons have one of the shootiest armies in the game, and that Gauss rule just makes it even worse!
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
I agree maxing destroyers is just as good but the odd hd can help out against high armour too but this is just my opinion since my hds dont hav any trouble when they snipe from area terrain
NB is a really good tank killer too str XX with 2dr + str for pen thats max str 22 and a hand mounted assault lascannon to boot... awesome!!!

There is no "I" in "team", there is an "I" in "pie" however, as in "Meat Pie" with "Meat" being an anogram of "Team".
