Hey guys im looking for a easy scheme to poaint my eldar soldiers. I simply dont have the time to paint all my guardains beutifuly and i wonder weather some has come up with a scheme that is appealing while also being very simple. I have not color prefances, just be sure to include paint colors you used if you respond.
P.S. Im also looking to paing my avatar the old fasion way, does any1 know of or have a guide of how to paint the avatar?
Thx for your help!
Red Gore highlighted by blood red looks pretty cool, I did that for my dire avengers. If you want them to stand out a bit more paint the helmets yellow or orange.
I find shades of red/yellow/orange work pretty well for all eldar troops, and you can make the avatar look really cool with dark red skin and gold armour.
Another easy scheme for guardians is craftworld iyanden colors. To paint them this way you just undercoat them white then paint the body yellow and the head blue.
I don't exactly understand what you mean by painting your avatar the old fashioned way...
My advice for the avatar would be to just use your imagination... what do you think a giant living god of fire would look like?
I basecoated my avatar red gore then highlighted with blood red, the same basic scheme as the dire avengers. I used a lot of gold on the armour and the sword, and painted the gems lots of different colors. I'm pretty sure you could do almost anything and the avatar would still look great, its a really cool looking model.
well actually there is now a really easy way of doing gaurdians, first primer them white then paint the helmet and kneecaps snot green, next paint the gun silver. after it dries apply the whole model with the thraka green base wash, and apply black base wash to the gun. this looks very cool and does not take a lot of time( as the "washing" doesnt take long.) mind this is a beil tan color sceme which i think would go great with the avatar fluff and game wise. as for the avatar i recently painted one by appling three coats of baal red base wash then painting the deatails in gold and white. the sword i painted red with two coats of black wash. my suggestion would be to buy the foundation wash set it has been a great help in painting my army. well i hope my advice helps you in painting your army.
