This is pretty much a conversion question, but a very specific one, so I'm putting it here instead of under general conversions.
Which warlock models have you used in Jetbike conversions? Also, which do you think were the easiest? Which do you think turned out the best?
I did a Farseer on a Jetbike and actually used the Warlock /w Spear for it, though there was a lot of cutting and green stuffing. As I need to start working on 8 Jetbike Warlocks, I'm looking to avoid wasting any models in the process.
As for legs and arms, I do have 8 sets of Shining Spear arms and legs for use, though I may be in the market for the little antennas from the Shining Spear box.
Arvan'drynn Craftworld - 15,000pts (deceased)
Tau - 2,000 points (atomized while on patrol)
I've used the one with his arms out at his sides at shoulder level with a sword pointed down in his right hand and a pistol in his left. that is by far the easiest one to model onto a bike. It does take a lot of greenstuff, but it looks good.
I used the three on the right in this picture, I just cut them off at the torso and attach them to the jetbiker legs and then get to work with green stuff to restore the cloaks properly. Some are trickier than others because you'll have to cut the swords out of their hands first. The easiest one was the guy with the antlers and the spear because you just have to cut off his right hand and replace it with one holding the handlebars. I gave him a witchblade instead of a spear, but you wouldn't have to. The guy on the far right looks pretty good too if you cut off his left arm and swing it 90 degrees so it points forward. The tricky part is cutting off the sword carefully and putting it back in a more natural looking position facing up. I think I got a new hand from something else to make it work, I can't remember exactly. You can get good results this way, but it's a lot of work. Using the shining spears left hands (with the touch panel thing) could work out well too and might look a little more appropriate for a psycher. It wouldn't work for the antler guy though unless you also swapped hands.
Actually, I would recommend you take a look at the conversion this fellow has done for his Farseer. That's probably the best converted jetbike Farseer I've seen and I'm considering abandoning my seer bike council in favor of a similar approach. It would be easier to remove the Warlocks heads and attach them to a mounted elf body like this than to do what I did and model up new cloaks from scratch. And the way the robes flow backwards make it look like the bike is actually moving. If you really wanted to go the extra mile, modeling the wraithbone armor pattern onto the chest of a high elf torso with green stuff would be a lot easier than making cloaks from scratch.
