Welcome to Librarium Online!
i have been playing orks for a year now, but i can't find the right unit/upgrade for killing tanks like land raiders or monoliths, does any body have some good ideas for killing these metal monsters?
Bikers I've heard good things for, because of their massive strength and their speed with the power klaws.
It depends what the rest of your army is like. But I'll try and cover all areas if I can:
Speed freaks: most of your army can do it- just give some power claws and go crazy. I've killed a LR with a power claw before. Especially if it hasn't moved, then so many attacks will mean you definately penetrate it.
Footslogging: Tank bustas- just get them forward. Bomb squigs would be a good upgrade for them. Also, every boyz squad should have a Nob, with a powerclaw- even if its a crusader or redeemer, a 30 boyz squad is gonna eventually get to it with the nob still entact, and get that CC attack in. A Nobz squad will also be very effective- add a few power claws, a painboy, for those essential invulnerable saves and FNP, and it'll ruin any tanks day, armour 4 or not! Add a warboss for extra punch.
Balanced: If your taking a bit of everything, I'd say just add a Nob with PC to every squad, and a Nobs squad same as above. Put them in a Battlewagon to up their survivability. Or if your facing really LP heavy armies, why not put a full squad of tankbustas inside a battlewagon equipped with 4 rokkits- with enough rokkits you'll hit a lot of times, and at least stop it from moving, or probably destroy it. If you're going to be nearer another vehicle, and your bound by the tank bustas rules- just move up the battlewagon.
Another quite useful weapon is the zaapp gun. Get some grot artillery with zapp guns, or kannons if you want more versatility. They may not work everytime, but they are cheap- often ignored by the enemy, and more effective then you'd think.
Finally, killer khans and deff dreds, by far, IMO the best single model CC walkers out there. They have great armour, for ork things, and are so cheap you'd have to have the brain of a squig not to hav 'em! That strength 10 is really gonna help out, esp as the squandron rules mean you ignore crew stunned- so you can always assault those pesky tanks.
I think thats about it. Only option I think I haven't mentioned are Nob bikers with a painboy- which are unbelievably good- turbo boost them first turn to get a 3+ cover save, and still FNP, and then get round the back of tanks (to use dakkaguns), or assault with lots of power claws (expensive, but soooo worth it).
Hope this helped.

Stick a powerklaw in its tailpipe, works wonders!
Beyond PKs, SAG and Zzap Guns can do the job if you roll well enough.

If in doubt, add a Warboss with a Power Klaw, Strength 10 is nothing to laugh at, and more attacks than a Nob...
Tankbustas actually aren't that good at destroying vehicles. Lootas are MUCH better at it. Sure, lootas can't hurt armor 14, but realistically, neither can tankbustas. Even if you take a full unit of 15 tankbustas, only 5 are going to hit, and statistically, you can't guarantee that you'll roll even a single 6 to damage the vehicle. Even if you do, it'll only be a glance, which can't destroy.
Tankbustas are better during the assault, but have trouble reaching monoliths, since all the opponent has to do is surround the monolith with warriors and they can't reach them, since they can't assault or shoot the warriors as long as they can see the monolith.
The best anti-tank weapon is the powerklaw, and the best way to transport them is with bikes. Warbikes or nob bikers are fantastic against armor. Meganobz also work well, and deffrollas can also do the job, especially if you ram them while using the rolla.
Tankbustas are a lot of fun, and were GREAT at destroying marines in 4th edition, but now in 5th edition you're better off with units of nobz with 2-4 powerklaws inside.
