How does everybody here use their mobile haemonculi?
I've got one on a reaver I sometimes field, but he's generally the first thing opponents shoot down, or I get one shot with the destructor (which may or may not be at a good enough AP) before he ends up in close combat.
I've tried outfitting him with the shadow field & combat drugs to give him a chance against the CSM Lash armies I usually face. I haven't tried the skyboard haemy yet, but I imagine the same issues would persist.
Is there a better way to play him than this? Some strategy/tactics I've missed?
Dont know if this will help but I normally use it to target an opponents 'fire base', eg snipers, havocs or equivelent. Turbo-boost first turn and start flaming second.
1 these squads are normally small and in cover - perfect targets for the destructor
2 they are expensive and will get the haemis points back in no time
3 they deal out lots of damage, taking them out early normally saves my army a lot of hurt and if they try to move or target the haemi it wastes a turn of firing
Oh and dont forget the reaver jetbike can move 6 inchs in the assault phase even when not assaulting, good for avoiding nasty repercussions
I guess my question really boils down to:
Would it be better to field 3 cheaper Haemies on bikes than one expensive one?
As awesome as mobile Haemonculi are, wouldnt every baby love a Haemonculi mobile?
