I am planning to get some jetbikes. I am wondering should I play them in a 500 point game? As well as overall in bigger games.

    1. SHould I use them?

    2. What makes them worth the points?

    3. How many of them?(squad size, how many to equip with blasters, etc.)

    4. How do I use them?

jetbikes are okay but for the squad size it depends on what you are trying to achieve

if you want a tank hunting unit (which is what i use) then have a 3 man squad with 2 blasters. if there are a lot of tanks then just use another squad or so.

against weak cc opponents jetbikes are great depending also on their drug roll if they will tear through things.

For squad killers i like Hellions the hit and run rule makes them almost untouchable and they have drugs too.

so your saying a group of 3 with 2 being blasters is good? so I can get that jetbike box of 3 and call it a day?

THis is for about a 500 point game... or 40k in a flash game

If I were playing DE in a 40k in 40 minutes game, then I would skip the jetbikes and go with two wyche squads in raiders. Keep the raiders hidden as much as possible and then spring the trap on them. Wyches will waste just about anything in CC, so it's pretty easy to win with this setup.

I am simply saying that if you want to use the bikes as tank hunters then a group of three with blaster is fine as it is relatively cheap

but if you want to go in to cc you need more jetbikes because numbers always help out.

i think jetbikes are good. i normally put my archon on a jetbike to go with my jetbike squad. it speed and firepower it can carry is really good, plus the inv sv if you turbo boost, extra toughness, and better armour save. i dont use them in 500pt game. usually take more warrior squads or wyches. for a 1000pt game, i would use about 6-7 excluding my HQ
