Welcome to Librarium Online!
Im pretty sure this topic has probably been discused hundreds of times but being new to orks and all i would just like to have some feed back from all you other green skind patrons. So how do you equip your warboss, big mek?
I was going to model my warlord on my fluff rather than whats killy lol. So a standard big choppa, heavy armor and attack squig. however the stats this would give him kinda make it look like my mates space marine comanders and other units would just walk over the top of him. Is this the case?
My standard build for my warboss is as follows
Twin Linked Shoota,
comes out at 120pts.
Bargain 6x S10 attacks on the charge
"i am a leaf in the wind, see how i soar"
I actually run mine with a big choppa (I'm sorry) But 5 attacks at strengh 8 on initiative 5 really kicks a. (you still instantly kill T4 guys.) I've had my orginal model with big choppa for a long time and he's very well painted and I'm a bit reluctant to either a) butcher him up and equip a PK or b) get another model. Yes I could convert the AOBR model but it wouldnt' look nearly as cool. I also use a kombi-burna. I love that thing. I used the metal kommando burna and glued an Imperial gas can you get from the Leman Russ sprue as a one shot fuel source. It looks very orky. I'll also model an attack squig to his base or shoulder one of these days too.
So big choppa, cybork, heavy armor, kombi-burna. Cheap but effective. Boyz before toyz.
My award winning Orky tale
I run ==Mine== with PK, cybork body, bosspole and a bike. 140 points of speed, dakka, and chopping. Attack squig is optional if points provide.
Otherwise, Mega Armor, cybork body and bosspole is a good cheap set up.

My current 'boss is a gnarly biker boss. He's got the bike, a Klaw, an attack squig, a kombi-skorcha, and a cybork body. Yesterday, he survived being shot up (on his own) by about forty-fifty necrons as double-tap range. Frikkin' dark elfie got a lucky pot-shot off though...*grumble*
I'm glad you brought up MegaArmor, ME. I've been thinking about running a Warboss with Megarmor, but I'm not sure if I should run him alone (so he gets 3d6 move, instead of 2d6) or join him with a group of units. What I would like to do is somehow seperate him from a unit at the beginning of the movement phase and then have him rejoin the unit he's assigned to again...at the end of the movement phase, but I'm not sure if that's possible.
Regardless, I guess the best and most simple answer would be to run him with Nobs in a Trukk. If you only have One trukk though...do you run that into battle to tie up a shooty unit ASAP? I"m guessing a Boss w/ Nobs + Painboy could be pretty durable in close combat.
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.

Da Moo Kowz is da drinkinest Orks of dem all!
My current warboss is an AoBR model, which I very minorly converted to attach a flamer tip to one barrel of his shoota. So I run him as:
For 120 points. Sometimes I will run him with an attack squig (seperate model that I just place on his base) as well.
I run my warboss with the following
My favorite battle was when he took out 2 termi squads all alone.
I dislike the warboss idea in my Blood axe Gunline-I run a big mek with KFF and sometimes cybork and/or 'Eavy Armer.
