Just out of curiosity, how many points/model do you think the Incubi would be if they had 4+ armor?
How many points/model would a Hellion be if their Hellglaives were 24" assault 1 guns?
Incubi would be worth about the same amount of points because you are replacing a positive with a negative.
Hellions would be worth about 12 points with assault 1 guns. Simply because they are overpriced as is...
Why do you wonder this krovin? and are you talking about for the new codex whenever that is, as I would htink we will lose about 20% points off most things, except perhaps wyches.
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
Not really thinking about it for the new codex. We've already gone through a lot of that with the hurt & heal. No, I was thinking more along the lines of some unique touches for my kabal. I like the incubi and hellion models a lot, but they never make it on my lists the way they are now.
What do you mean by the same amount of points for Incubi? Surely 3+ armor is worth more points than 4+?
And you expect a global 20% reduction in points? Why?
What I think he means is that Incubi will gain fleet if they have 4+ Armour. So you're sacrificing +1 armour for fleet and in this army i think thats around the same worth.
Omg a signature!
I don't think that's an equal trade.
Fleet on incubi would give them up to a 21-26" charge range off a raider and would also mean that they wouldn't slow down the lord in the squad as much. If anything they should be more expensive with fleet and a 4+ save (although they're already a bit dear.. but hey) as anything thats ignoring 4+ saves is probably ignoring 3+ saves (shooting at least) and the slightly more likely chance of reaching combat early is really quite useful.
Kabal of the Twilight Blade - Host of Tecpatl - Salamanders 3rd
Giving them a 4+ save makes them more similiar to Banshees and less similiar to Scorpions which is, to my knowledge, anti-fluff. That aside, I can see incubi costs coming down by 2 points.
Everything I have told you, even this, is a lie.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
My army has their own unique fluff, so that would not be a problem.
So does everyone agree with Splata on 12 points for my hypothetical version of the Hellion?
