How much bigger is a biker nob in comparison to a regular biker? I was thinking of making a speed freak list for an upcoming tournament but have never had a chance to use the ork bikers (I usually play a dakka heavy footslogger list or my ravenwing army).
If anyone could provide a size comparison between a nob biker and a biker or tips on converting the box of three bikers into nobz I would be rather grateful.
Yes I'm aware that the box has the option to build a nob. Thanks for saying that you can't really tell the difference though. Helps a bit.
really, the biggest difference is in the torso. If you have a few nob torsos lying around, use those instead of boy torsos. If not, you may be able to take a regular torso, and make plasticard armour to beefen him up a bit.
I have a unit of 6. Two are regular nob bodies. The other three are actually Fantasy Black Ork torsos that I've cut and or filed down- this took a bit of effort and some minor blood loss... *
You might be able to buy the newly released nob box, but it looks like the nob is all one body-no seperate legs components, meaning cutting and or filing with possible blood losss...
*It was worth it-they look awesome. The Black Ork standard makes one hell of a Waaagh! banner
My award winning Orky tale
Sounds cool! I was thinking of getting Black Orks and making them look more 40k, so I could get a 10 man nob squad with 'eavy armour. Has anyone else done something similar to this?
Fantasy Orcs make great looking 40k Orks, and Black Orcs indeed make great Nobz.
I made my biker nobz out of spare bike frames (I got them on ebay) and the nobz from the Assault on Black Reach set. They came out pretty good, but I had enough bits to add on the extra guns and wheels to the frames.
Honestly, you could probably just use normal bikers as nobz. Just don't use the 'old' Ork bikers this way. They're far too small to pass for Nobz.
