I bought AOBR for my step son this weekend and we put it all togeather except his warboss.
Is it two pieces for his back? The back piece that we got dosnt fit in and even if we manage to get it in there, the width of the piece is narrower than the open space in his back. There will be a substantial gap on either side of it before it meets the front of the model. Anyone else have this problem?
This is, unfortunately, the design of the AoBR Warboss. I've got two that are exactly the same.
You have two options - assemble it as best you can, use green stuff to fill in any noticeable gaps, then once he's painted up he'll look a lot better!
Or, you could play with him with an exacto knife for a few hours, as I've done.. I'd reccomend the first option though, as they've got about the same results.
We can't complain much, though.. AoBR is a great deal! Especially if you split the box with a Space Marine player - we're spending $30 for $199 worth of Orks retail!
Was the expected response, not the one I wanted, but expected. Thanks.
Guess I get to teach him how to use green stuff! And so true one the deal. I plan to trade away the SM's as my other son already has more than enough and we are desperately short on Orcs and CSM.
Just curious. What is this "Green stuff" you guys are referring to? I have the same problem obviously, but I don't think it's that noticeable unless you're looking at him from behind.
It really isn't that noticeable. Its the same with the SM Dreadnaught's Melta arm (or maybe the other?) But once its painted, it should be fine; however, it just looks better with a little bit of green stuff.
