Hey guys, I just have a quick question. When a Tomb Spider creates a scarab swarm it has to roll anything but a 1, however; if it does roll a 1 it suffers a wound. My question is does the tomb spider get an armor save against this wound?
Nope, I ain't got codex but I'm sure it states something along the lines that it has no way of saving it. But if anyone else says otherwise then they are probably right.
Necrons-Currently building, finished by feb with any luck.
Unfortunately the Tomb Spyder on the roll of a 1 will take a wound with no save when creating a scarab swarm, but you still have the swarm.
A friend put it to me like this, "Instead of the Tomb Spyder pooping out a brick, it pooped out a buick!" well no so politely anyways.
The quote in the Artificier section says "On a 1, the Spyder takes a wound as it is drained by the energy expediture". It doesn't mention anything about having saves as normal, like the Plasma pistol of such armies who use such crude technology. and is described as being an internal malfunction unlike the plasma which is external. Normally if something has the chance of hurting itself by using a wepon/skill it is proceeded by "save as normal" or some such varient but there is no evidence of this in any form with the Spyder. Then again, GW has missed out or badly worded things in the past and our Codex is oh so old.
