Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi all fellow gamers! I have created this topic so that people can post their info about their Hive Fleets (wins-loses/how long been playing/problems/strategies, etc..).
So I'll kick off. I have been playing WH40k for a year now. I started with my Nids. HiveFleet Black Plague. My win-lose ratio is something like this: 10-4. It is a 2000pt army. When I first started, I nearly (!!! changed army. However, I thought since I had started to spend money on this army, I would continue. More I continued, more games I won. I now have an 8 game winning spree going, and I dont want it to end anytime soon. I have entered three tournaments, coming 2nd place everytime, sadly.
What do you have to say about YOUR Hive Fleet?
Ive been playing 40k for quite some time... a few years at least on a on and off relationship... but now Im pleased to say Im back on track. Ive had tyranids for about 2 years (I think)
Since Ive started recording win/loss/draw my nids have won 10 times and lost once! giving me a win ratio of 10:11... I can field variable number of points up to just under 3,000 (without going crazy on upgrades ) I have entered 0 tournaments as my paintings skills are limited and most of my nids are still unpainted <_< but I will paint more soon!
Me and a few friends are starting a hex map campaign soon where I will be using my tyranids as Hive Fleet Typhon, If a suceed Typhon will grow stronger and its 4 main tendrils will continue its path across the galaxy taking a giant chunk with it! If I loose the army will be split into 4 splinter fleets and raid unexpecting worlds until the for splinters rejoin to make a stronger unified fleet! Any thats what I hope...
Ive posted a few list and battle reports of recent battles, I hope some of you have had the time to read them...
Well I think thats it...

Hello, my Tyranid Swarm is aptly named Hive Fleet Scythe. I have had my Tyranids for 8 months or so now, and my win/draw/loss record is roughly 40-50/1/2. I've played so many games I can't count them, but I have won all but 3, 1 draw and 2 losses.
Anyway, the only thing some people might see wrong with my army is that I have no shooting, other than the Hive Tyrant's Warp Blast. I currently own 1500 points of Tyranids and hoping to grow. My strategy is usually to rush the enemy with Gaunts, followed by my Genestealers and Hive Tyrant, then bring in some Warriors and Carnifex's in last. This is the wave technique as you may know.
Finally, my paint scheme is a beige colour slightly lighter than that of the 'Vanilla' Tyranids, and red slightly lighter than the one they use too. My paintint isn't amazing, but it's pretty good IMO.
I've been playing Wh40K for about 8-9 months. I've won 8 times and losed 5 times with my Hive Fleet Wack. That's about it...and love 'Thropes
ive been playin nids for 2-3 months with hive fleet omalancha and their record is 0-0 havent finished making and buying them all yet
Hivefleet Omalancho 1/0/0 my current army
--- Bought the first models autumn last year, but still unpainted and actually mostly unassembled... Plans for conversions, You know? ^_^;
With a proxy army I've managed an approximate ratio of 75% in about twenty or so games...
Paint scheme is set to:
Liche purple edges and detail, Warlock purple highlights
Claws, Talons and teeth not set yet... Might be they'll only be detailed and highlighted as per the previous line, with a mix of Blood Red, Red Gore and Red/Brown Ink for stains.
Eyes: mixed Skull White and Blood Red, then Blood Red, possibly Blazing Orange highlight.
Then add hivefleet markings: mixed Skull White and chosen colour, then 100% chosen colour.
Both marking and eyes detailed with Gloss Varnish.
Originally I planned to make either the skin or the carapace wholly purple, but when I considered the amount I'd need to paint... It simplified itself quite quickly.
Of course, since I'm waiting for inspiration to kick my arse off the chair, my mind into overdrive and actually do all the conversions I've been planning to do, I haven't actually tested the paint scheme yet...
As said, I have much to do before my Swarm is finally ready and I can claim proud victories for Hive Fleet Makazemure!
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
I have been playing my 'nids for approximately 3 months. I have had them for around 6 but took a break in the middle there to work on my death guard. Since then, I have not lost a game ith my 'nids and tied once. I have probably won around 15-20.
My paint scheme is very simple, though looks pretty nice when everything is painted and in swarm formation. It is simply:
paint skin red gore
paint carapace snakebite leather
drybrush (heavily) skin blood red
drybrush (lightly) carapace bleached bone
paint sand on base codex grey
paint sides of base scorched brown.
My hive fleet Osiris has lost most of its games, but my oppenents usually end up with a dozen models at the end. Theyre painted hawk turqoise with blood red, and each new brood I build will get a different scheme. My biovore is named Moltar, the hive tyrant Phil and my Carnifex Zorak
Hive Fleet Furi Kuri 32/21/4
Tomb Kings: 8/5/2
Im in ur Halo, killin ur covernantz
My friends have named my Old One Eye: Death
My 1st Hive Tyrant: Plague
My 2nd Hive Tyranteth
Green skin, and the carapace has a black undercoating and drybrushed mithril over the top (not very BLACK Plague, but o well ) My painting skills arent brilliant, but I dont care what other gamers think. The annoying thing is that I have 2000pts at my disposal, but only about 1000-1200 painted .
2 out of my 4 loses were to Tau. I have beat them since, but sadly, they always beat me in the open... I am a fan of Cityfight, most of my army lists are based on these since I love the intense close combat and clostraphobic conditions. I am slowing down on my Nids and putting more effort on my small IW force (900pts), but I still play with them.
okies dokies.. i been commanding my swarm for about a year now and i have around 2500 pts worth of nids, my colour scheme for hive fleet Hades is mainly black skin with liche purple plating, silver teeth, pink tongues, and red eyes ..all glossed over with a smoke gloss that makes my swarm look more alien shiny(like in the movie aliens)
my main force consists of 2 winged hivetyrants(Frank and Betty) with the usual set up, a carnifex, bio vores and lots of hormaguants, stealers and a few lictors to lead the advance, the hive Fleet has just reacently employed the use of spine gaunts and found them really usefull.
i just finished a long hard campaign against a imperial guard force..i won 3 games and drawn 1 and i learnt a hell of allot from that campaign and will be putting certain tactics to good use when ever i go up against guard again.
Now as for my win lose ratio its kinda weird...cause i cant remember actually losing any games of late, i know i lost 1 or 2 games when i first started playing with a small 500 pts army. but since i started playing bigger games..1000 =2000 pt games i havent lost a game (note to self now that ive said that next time i play im gunna get slaughterd)
So out of say the 15 or so games i played this year (1s i can remember) ive won about 10 had about 3 or so close games that me and my opponents agreed were drawn and i lost 2 from when i first started playing and didnt have any hive tyrants or carnis.
now my main opponents are space marines..and well more spacemarines..but i really enjoy playing Tau, eldar and guard cause then ya can drop takin so many stealers and take more gaunts
now im really lookin forward to the new rules coming out and i can assure you Hivefleet Hades will be there fighting and eating its way through the enemies of the great devourer i hope to see your swarms doing the same.
Army of the heavens, my army waits in hell
To battle on the earth, for all the souls who fell
