Welcome to Librarium Online!
I came up against a Tau player recently (for only the 3rd time) and i was wondering about the following:
do tau recieve a piece of equip that ignores night fighting rules?
Black light filters?
can stims help against shooting ? (feel no pain rule)
i read somewhere something about them being best for CC.
my opponent started with 3 battle suites together as a squad.
once their is only 1 left does he have to take last man standing tests?
could all 3 of these suits fire at diff units and vehicles (each one firing at one unit then another volley at a vehicle)
do these battle suits come with BS5 ?
needing only 2s
and would all their weapons be twin linked?
he was a new Tau player so allow room for some errors on the side of over-eagerness.
ok the BS filter does not ignore nightfight it just lets you see further with smaller rolls.
stim work agenst all wounds except instand death hits and anything that would ignore armor(like ap1 or 2 and power weapons ect.)
as far as i know there is no last man standing roll anymore
yes 3 suits can fire at 3 diff targets IF they have Target locks
Only the Shas'o has the high BS(the shas'el can get it too but needs a battle suit system upgrade)
when look at the dex there a 2 price costs for battle suit weapons the cheap price is for a single weapon and higher one is twinlinked(remember tiwnlinked counts as 2 of the 3 battle suit systems)
Qu. can/ could all 3 guys get bonding knives? (you make it sound like only the "leader" of the team can)
Yes, only the T-Ldr (or the Shas'vre-level leader) can take a Bonding Knife. He is the only one with access to wargear per se. The others are restricted to weapons and support systems.

Riki is right, the bonding knife can be lost from shooting. However, it also allows you to stack saves in your favour in some situations and spread wounds.
Oh, I know riki. The point I was making was that you can stack the nasty weapon attacks on individual models.
For example; if a unit with 3 suits gets hit by 2 lazcannon and 4 bolter wounds and each is different in some way, then you can allocate both laz wounds to one model as long as you follow the rules for allocating wounds.
