Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok I'd just like to know what kind of colour schemes everyone has (pics would be nice!) and how you came up with it etc. etc. Feel free to rate other peoples schemes and give advise and so forth.
My kabals colour scheme is black and white. Black is the main colour when white is used on details and to paint a camoflauge pattern (sort of like tiger stripes.) It's for my bunch of nurgle worshipping hippies. I came up with it because black (in my opinion) symbolizes decay which is a connection to nurgle.
I'm thinking of changing my scheme since I only have 500pts painted, so if you have anything with green colours or a better black and white scheme please advise me.
Here's a fuuurious warrior:
Since the only camera I've got available right now is of "and that blur is" quality, I'm not posting a picture.
My cabal is dark, oily metallic with purple cloth and eyes and white hair.
all black with blue helmets. rank is designated by the stunning gw 'glistening green'.
may post pics if others do, and if i can figure which way up to hold the camera...
No pics, sorry. Breakdown:
All haemonculi coven forces are planned to be a combo of blue and black. Squad is denoted by spike arrangement.
All current Kabal forces are a combo of orange and black. Squad is denoted by spike arrangement.
All current Wyche forces are in a mix of green and black. Squad is denoted by which color the thing band around the right thigh is.
I might be able to get you a picture but the color scheme is as follows:
Warrior, black helmet, torso/shoulders, hands and boots. Gore red waist, legs and forearms.
Wyches, Blood red bikinis
Haemonculi, redish purple
The entire army is black and red with the different shades of red for each squad type.
"On a hunch, I melted them down and inhaled the fumes and read the dark eldar codex again, AND FOUND A BUNCH OF NEW RULES HIDDEN BEHIND THE OTHER WORDS..." [Gardeth on modelling & interpreting the DE Codex]
Those are some very nice bases z_man, puts mine to shame and I was quite proud of their redux.
Anyway, moving on I've got a few samples of my colour scheme, both the Kabal and Wych Cult allies.
Syberite with Trophy Rack.
Colour scheme consists of Red Gore over a black undercoat with a wash of purple ink. All metal is chainmail with a fleshwash.
A Wych from the Cult of Fury
These models caused me countless headaches but eventually got something I was very happy with. Black undercoat with a very heavy codex grey drybrush. Camo green has been used to tie the wyches in with the Kabal.
A test figure
Only really added this one as you asked for green schemes. This is a rather old test figure I did a good while back for a kill team. At the time I was happy with it, but now it needs serious work. Camo Green suit with bleached bone gauntlets, all given a good flesh was. I have considered revisiting this scheme as I do think it has promise, however I've got my hands full revamping my Kabal and trying to get an army of Lamentors painted.
