Ok, so I'm pretty new to 40k. I played a little in high school and had a little space marine army. Now I've started playing again and decided to make an Ork army and bought a couple boxes of boyz and an Ork warboss with attack squig. Now what I need help with is figuring out exactly what is modeled on it so I can figure out what wargear options I can take. So if anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.
the model is what you buy.
just like any ork model, it can be converted to look how ever you want it to.
GW sells a Ork Warboss that has an attack squig weapon.
as far as wargear?
depends on what type of army you are wanting to run.
if you want him decked out with the best flash and gitz and mega armour, then you will have to suffer the penalties of him being slow.
if you put just 'Eavy armour on him and keep his point cost down, then you have a more mobile Boss.
either model can be placed in a truck, so the point is moot.

I haven't seen the model, but I believe the more obvious Wargear is PowerKlaw, Attacksquig, Bosspole...and some Armor. Basically, the essential options you want for any Warboss.
Regardless of what's actually on the model, you should ALWAYS have a PowerKlaw, and some form of Armor (like Heavy or Cybork)
-- Attack Squigs are nice too, if you find yourself short on points and nothing better to get.
--Bosspoles are also very useful for their points. If you have him with a unit of Boyz, give him a Bosspole to reroll leadership tests...which is the Key to keep your boyz on the field and not running away in Combat.
--Most other upgrades are optional and pretty small model-wise....so if you want to try different weapons or gear, don't worry about actually having it on the model, unless you're playing in a tournament or with people who are really picky about that kinda stuff. Just make sure to let people know what gear he has on him before you start the game.
