Just wanted to share this.
Ravager with 2 Disintegrators and 1 dark lance fires into a group of 10 Space Wolves Greyhunters and causes 11 wounds (cos they were all huddled together round an objective)
My opponent says, how many saves do I get?
I almost didn't want to tell him, "well I'm afraid they're all dead actually"
"Yeah but I've got a 3+ save."
"Yep. I know. They're still dead though"
This was turn 2 and my next move was to charge his 10 BloodClaws with an Archon, Drazhar and 4 Incubi. They died too. As did Ragnar and his Terminators the turn afterwards.
The only rolls he got to make were a few inv saves.
There's a lot of probs with some things in the Dark Eldar, but when they go to work they are brutal.
I honestly felt sorry for my opponent, and had to agree that the ravager can look a bit overpowered for the points when it does stuff like that. (of course I also remember the times the aluminium foil armour has held up too well either)

Although I feel the same way when I lay down the hurt on an unsuspecting opponent I have to say I feel no remorse to dead Space Wolves (I call them wanna be wyches as I do Khorne berzerkers). Feel free to completely destroy "mon-keigh" armies.
As for the 3 dissy ravager and those who take 3 of them - enjoy it while you can as it can all disappear a soon as the end of the year. I do think we will get something similar and I do not think it will be as nasty as the disintegrator is now - so enjoy!
My cult lists do sport 3 ravagers I usually only have 1 ravager with 3 disintegrators. The other 2 ravagers are usually 3-lance kind as wyches and 3 dissy ravagers usually compete for the same targets. I will say that I am curious toward another ravager with 3 dissys but I can't help but think that ravagers in a wych cult list are better off being anti-armor (dissys can't touch land raiders for example).
Anyone else using 3 ravagers with 3 dissys each? I know they will decimate infantry but what about the armor? Dark lance raiders are not enough to pop armor reliably, or are they?
"On a hunch, I melted them down and inhaled the fumes and read the dark eldar codex again, AND FOUND A BUNCH OF NEW RULES HIDDEN BEHIND THE OTHER WORDS..." [Gardeth on modelling & interpreting the DE Codex]
Don't feel sorry for your opponent,DE are Anti-marine killers so we wipe the floor with them unless they bring a army of HeavyBolters!
I find DE struggle vsing Orks the most as they totally out number us.
Eradicating chav scum since 2005!
I think so too. ravagers aren't that cheesy if you compair them with the rest ;-)
And what was so bad at it realy?
If you manage to cover 10-11 MArines with just 2 small blasts, then it realy is his fault in playing like a mad man! XD
I would have thanked him for this opertunety...realy, it was not your fault...
@DrazanMasterOfBlad2: Try it with a Lord and 3 Heamis with destruktors(?)(I mean the one with the fire-templet). They should do the trick against a big bunch of orks.
It's your opponents unfamiliarity with the DE and the game. Why would he clump up? I'm also assuming a lucky scatter was involved. Secondly, there's almost always a way to have them sitting in 4+ cover, going to ground in it means that he's only losing 4 marines.
Ravagers are good but with the new cover rules they're far from anything that other armies can put out.
I have seen the true glory of the dissintegrators. I have played in 2 2000pt team tournaments now with my buddy that runs dual lash. The destructive capability of dual lash, 2 ravagers full of dissies, x2 oblits and 2 master blasters is something to be witnessed. We won the first tournie (with him rolling 3d6 on psychic test the whole time) and would have won the 2nd if we had been able to roll over a 2 on vehicle pen in our 3rd game....
