Just trying to get some rules straight.
Hawks with intercept chucking Haywire grenades on a walker.
Which takes precedence?
- Intercept says "never need worse than 4+ to hit a vehicle"
- Walkers in combat say "using grenades only hits on a 6"
I am obviously prefering the "hits on a 4+" option and going with the "codex over rides BRB" logic.
Any comments out there.....
I think it would be the other way around seeing as BRB is the newer release. Let me take a look for myself...
Considering that the flavor text states they are likely to take down moving skimmers, you could argue that a moving Walker wouldn't be that much of an issue. However, I think that would be a bit of wishful thinking. I'd say Haywire Grenades would hit on a 6.
If you check the errata Intercept now only works against vehicles without a WS. As a walker has a WS, intercept doesn't apply and the normal "6 to hit a walker with grenades" applies as normal.
Thanks Hellbird & Deris.
Oh Hellbird, just cos the BRB is a later vintage than the codex doesn't always means it over-rides. Page 74 states that codex rules take precedence in the case of special rules.
