Anyone have any suggestions on how to balance the bases of my horms so that they won't tip so easily? I've already thought of using pennies in the bases, but I don't want them to be balanced on a penny either, if I can help it. The other thought was to use a heavy base-flock. My dad thought of using modelling clay in the underside of the base as well, but that stuff doesn't dry unless you back it. I thought about using green stuff for it as well, but that's expensive...Anyone have any other suggestions?

Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Church: "And?"
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."

I use modelling clay, whats so bad about its failure to dry? In fact, that way you can take some out for a different model if you really need to.

I've been glueing small split shots (fishing weights) under the base. there inexpensive 50 for about a $1 and can easily fit under the smallest bases

I don't like modeling clay b/c I'm afraid that due to it's pliability, it might get stuck onto some of the fabric of the game surfaces we play on. Also, my father and I were going to play a large points battle on the floor in the living room someday, and I know mom would give us hell if we got clay stuck in there .

Fishing weights hm? Guess I might be making a trip to the store soon today after all .

adding fishing weights sounds like a good Idea to me. They are small, inexpensive and heavy, sounds perfect.
Clay gets moldy between the base and the clay. atleast mine did.

magnets are good to use aswell. They're heavy and you can tote your guys around easyer in a metal box... sence tyranids are in streaching poses and big meaty claws, they'd be hard to fit int he GW Case ^_^

I like the magnet idea as well, but I can see it now...placing my tyranids on my desk in front of my computer monitor, only to come in the next morning and have a multi-colored, *****edup 300 dollar monitor... lol. Besides which, I am going to use plastic tupperwear boxes/containers from Wal-Mart, I think.

The fishing wait idea sounds good, i use some modeling clay putty stuff that I found in my room to weight the bases works for me, I have no trouble sticking to gaming surfaces, but if your against clay go for fishing weights
