Welcome to Librarium Online!
ok, I was reading a few things in the rulebook and it brought up a question. While rading the rules on bikes in the BRB I read that all bikes get Turbo-boost. We all knew that right, 24" move = the bomb. Then I noticed under the "Eldar Jetbike" section that we can move 6" in the assault phase if we chose to or don't have anything to assault. Does that mean we can move 30" in a turn if we Turbo-boost and move during the assault phase or does Turbo-boosting remove the assualt move thingy?
I think that when you turbo boost you can't do anything else in shoot OR assault.
The reason I'm asking is because it says you can not shoot or assault when turbo-boosting. But the 6" move is not an assault its a move instead of assaulting. So you would not be assaulting just moving in the assault phase which is what you were doing for the entire turn anyway.
BRB 76 Turbo-boosters
BRB 53 Eldar Jetbikes
At the risk of anouncing myself as a newb..
Holy shite!!! Our jetbikes are broken... I knew the eldar jetbike thing.. or thought I did.. I just assumed it was the +1S and +1T.. so I skipped that part in the BRB... mmmm crisis suit blaster squadrons
Look at the rule again for turbo boosting. It says you "may not execute any other voluntary actions." The 6" move in the assault is a voluntary action, so you can't do it. This topic keeps popping up with surprising frequency, all I can say is read all the rules.
One more quick question if you guys don't mind. For some reason I was thinking Reavers got Hit & Run spiecal rule, but talking today with some other guys it looks like they don't. I then pulled out the books and sure enough I couldn't find it. Was I just making this up in my own mind or am I overlooking it somewhere?
You probably were thinking of Hellions, which are just below Reavers on the same page. They are the ones with Hit & Run.

Hmm, could be. I swear I thought they got it. That mmust be what it is... I guess the first sentence in teh BRB for Bikes (pg 53) didn't help either. "Troops mounted on bikes excel at hit-and-run attacks."
Yes and Hellions are mounted on multi bladed skyboards that do…………………nothing at all with anything attack related.
The hit and run could easily refer to the fact that they could have moved, shot and then moved again in the assault phase – and not the ‘Hit and Run’ rule form page 75.
You have to separate the story line from the rules and at times this can be tough with GW’s poetry, I mean rules.
