wheneever i play against orks i am able to destroy maybe 60 boyz and bikers.but my difficulty is in meganobz and ghazghull. whenever they get into hand to hand im dead.
no matter what i use i can only take out maybe 2 or 3. i was playing marines orks and they just shredded a land raider!!!like nothing!!.how do you defeat these creatures and gazghull?
death to the false emperor!!!
call the waggh, i dare you...
power fist lighten claws laz cannons, demolisher cannons things of the sort. meganobz are pretty expesive point wise and also kinda slow so just shoot them up
What do your Termies fear?
Lightning Claws, Power Weapons..
Plasma Guns / Pistols / Cannons..
Melta Guns / Multi-meltas..
Of all those possibilities, I would say your best bet lies with Lightning Claws and Power Weapons (Command Squad, Vanguard Veterans), Plasma Cannons (Tactical Squads, Devastators, Demolishers), and Melta Guns (Tactical Squads, Bike Squadrons)
If all else fails, and they're too close for comfort, you could even Tank Shock them with a Land Speeder as a last ditch effort. If you move at 12" or more, and you don't cause them to scatter, they'll only get a single attack that hits on a 6. Unlikely to kill you (but very likely to kill one more model)
You don't want very many Plasmas or Meltas in your army, as they'll be a moot cause versus his Boyz. The odd Melta / Lascannon would be appropriate to make short work of his Trukks or Wagons. Plasma cannons can be justified, as they'll allow you anti-armour, as well as a blast template to thin his horde. Ligntning claws can be considered going overboard, but the ability to re-roll to wound rolls will make up for it, at least a little bit.
More importantly, though.. I would just consider avoiding them (unless they're embarked on a transport) Just outmaneuver them and watch the Warboss grow in frustration as their investment is not allowed to do.. anything!
The best way to defeat Meganobz is to shoot their transport vehicle in the first turn and ignore them for the rest of the game.

2. A Death or Glory attack (which you seem to infer your purpose as provoking one) automatically hits.
3. It is a vehicle move of >6" (not 12") that requires a CC hit on a 6+, under normal conditions.

The best way is to just shot every thing at it double tap bolters, plasma, melt, lasguns, anything you can do to force those saves.
Meganobs have no invulnerable save, so go after them with power weapons, lightning claws, plasma cannons, lascannons, meltaguns and the like. Insta-kill them if possible.
Also, destroying their transport takes them out of the game. SAP sucks.

Don't get into CC with them, use low AP weapons like plasma weapons and blast 'em!
Mega-nobs are essentially terminators that are even more fragile against instant-death armor ignoring weaponry such as powerfists/lascannons/etc because they don't have an invulnerable save and the two wounds don't do anything when getting instant killed. They are, however, even more resilient to small arms fire because they still possess the 2+ save yet have two wounds instead of one. For this reason, it is even more crucial to aim ap2 s8+ weaponry against these guys.
One weakness that must be exploited when facing a large amount of mega-nobs and cannot easily destroy them is this: take out their transport and they become fairly useless. Even if you send a unit with a lot of fists/klaws at them, they are still going to crush the sacrificial unit with their attacks back. They move slow and purposeful so if you can take out their trukk/battlewagon early on you should be able to avoid them until at least turn 5-6.
