Welcome to Librarium Online!
So I finally perfected my paint scheme, (pics coming) and painted up my ravager in it. I want this model to be my centerpiece. The problem lies in the weapons... Aaaaaagh did everyone else want to tear their hair out? I can't get those guys to stand in the ravager in a convincing way and still have the mount for the weapon inside the shields! (only way I got it was with all weapons pointing straight forward. Is the metal one with hair supposed to be on a specific side? The feet look angled that way.. Where on the model are you supposed to glue the hands to the weapon? The bottom part? (little doo dad that sticks down) or the back of it?
I mounted each of mine on their own base so the ravager loadout could be swapped at will (plus it makes it easier to remove guns when they get destroyed). In order to do this though, you'll have to use something to create a stand for the gun. I used a few leftover incubi backpacks, but I think some leftover bits of a sprue would work just as well.
Yes its handy to mount your heavy weapons on a model that has a separate base but I have seen this used for gaining a better arc of fire with swiveling the model to any angle you choose.
And I am not convinced yet what the arc degrees should be according to the rules.
In other words its good to model for realism but bad to do it for the rules.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
