Hey dark kin,
WFB dark elves are great looking, aye? I just brought some corsairs and I think I will make them my Sybarites from now on...with a little futuristic modification of course!
My Archon, one of the scourge models modelled to be carrying a Punisher and T hem is sporting a rather swish looking corsair cape now. Mint!!
I also cast my eye at other things that could substitute some of our craptastically posed and fugly Grotesques and Warp Beasts. I think I have found salvation in Zombies and wolf packs from the vampire counts range with rotted flesh exposed bone and other gruesome oddities.
I used the Dark Elf Witches for Dark Eldar Wyches and they turned out fantastic - they are a fan favorite and always gets the looks.
I have also used Kroot for Krootesques and again, a fan favorite that gets the spectators to go, "ooooh".
I have seen the new corsair capes used and they are pretty good - I would definitely like the idea of putting them on Sybarites as they make them stand out in the squad.
As for the lords, I used Malekeith's cape on a Drazhar model turned Archon. I have tried making a plastic lord from the warrior sprues but I cannot seem to capture the presence or stature of a powerful Archon. So I have used Drazhar, that crappy Archon with the claw model and even the female lord in some serious custom changes. The only lord model I haven't too much with as the model is fine as-is is Lelith's.

Looking through the WFB models i noticed that the vampire counts corpse cart could be converted into a talos. Add the talos sting on the back, put claws on the front and have a warrior at the back picking up "slaves" that the talos captures.
