So which one of you homeboys tried the 3 mono phalanx on da Apocalypse book? Did it work as well it looks on paper and made your opponent curse numerous times or did the mono get destroyed rather early and ya army gettin shot to pieces?!
I sometimes play 3 'liths in 1500+ point games. They are killer. Sure, there's the ocassional game when they fall in two turns, but they usually do their stuff. Want to try something else that's totally wicked? 9 Spyders. 495 points, and much more CC than most armies want to face, ever.
i fielded 3 monoliths in apocalypse once. they got smashed by an ork ROK though
I love my nuns with guns!
The regular phalanx didn't do too much for me when I used it, but I didn't get the chance to position it too well.
The doomsday phalanx from reload did a nice number of a warhound though. That, and it drew the fire of the gaurd line away from my orky team-mate and let him get stuck in for CC.
When seeking the ultimate question remember 6*9==42 only in base 13.
Yeah I'm also a fan of the 9 tomb spiders idea, that's more monstrous creatures than even tyranids can field, it's cheaper, and still leaves the rest of FOC open. (only reason I don't use is because it's expensive $$ wise)
