Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have made this thread so all necron players can express their anger over other armies beardy units that frankly own you every time.Im trying to avoide scowling at my oponnent when he plays 30 outflanking genestealers(remember most important rule fun!)Think of it as a Trisha (Is that a good simili I dont really watch it?)for metallic aliens.

You know what annoys me? This thread's weird spelling and grammar.
Was that an attack against my spelling or the thread idea.If the latter, Try not posting anything.Soon it will disapear of the page if everybody else agrees. In fact, what you have just done is pushed it right back at the top of the page.If you think its pointless then thats not the best idea. Do you know what I hate?Completly pointless aggessive posts.Plz note if thats what you think just dont post and im sorry for wasting your time.
Alright kids calm down and keep things civil please.
@simplebut, it would do for you to work on your sentences and using proper words/ punctuation, I believe it's been brought up before. And LO's rules actually request that you type as such.
@shango, if you have a problem with someone's post, have the courtesy to state it politely, that was flat out rude. Also posting without adding anything to the topic is frowned upon.
As for the original topic simple, I'm going to throw terminators out on the table. Without spending points on a model that is pretty much just a hinderance most of the time (Pariahs) and even then they only counter standard Imperial terminators, assault (LC) Chaos, and GK termies still go first and wipe them out.
Also, blood crushers of khorne. I..just can't think of a way to beat them with necrons past using your entire army to shoot them at once, and even THAT hardly works.
Ugh, yeah, I'd second the terminators being a total pain to deal with. My buddy has an old GK army and when I first got into the game a few years back he would whomp on me with those baddies. Of course, I began to reconsider the effectiveness of my army, and you know the type of money and time that gets invested into putting something nice on the table.
Well, this was before 5th edition was out and he let me play against his IG...remember the old glance/penetrating hit table? Ahh, it was such a nice thing to pop his tanks across the board.
Now that we're playing in 5th edition and he's fielding a Tyranid hormagaunt army, it's made me have to re-think my tactics. In a way, that's been something that I like about the Necrons. (And another friend of mine, a Tau player has echoed the same thoughts.) Really, what type of thought does it take to field a Tyranid CC army or a Chaos Demon army? You do your best to stay in cover as long as possible, move, run, fleet, whaterver you can do and then assault. In my opinion, it doesn't take a lot of skill, though I've never played an army like that, so I may be way off. My friend with the Tyranid army has one gun....ONE GUN TOTAL!! I dunno, it just seems that CC armies take little tact, similar to driving a nail, just takes braun. However, shooting armies take a higher level of foresight and planning; shoot, stay in cover, and stay out of CC!
But that all comes to some reasons I like challenges; the challenge is figuring a way around it. Be it as it may, I'll get back on track. The things that annoy me in the game? 2nd turn assault; 2+ saves, watching a whole squad of warriors flee off the table edge; and plasma...that dang-on plasma!!
And that's what I have to say about that.
I've found a nice way to deal with Termies and other CC monsters are C'Tans, specifically The Deceiver. shoot, assault, kick some, and if they still survive, exit combat with his ability and repeat. Look out for sternguard, however.
Nothing really to be honest but in general what really annoys me is vehicle cover saves,I love getting them myself but especially with Necrons that 50/50 chance pretty much makes your chances at doing any damage to a vehicle almost non existent. I mean I've really learn that to even scratch a vehicle now a days you need a penetration hit. People who say Necrons can destroy vehicles through attrition generally don't / have never played as Nercons cause it almost never happens unless you put atleast over 100 shots into AND get lucky at the same time.
yer but when the new codex is finially out and if the c'tan do get moved to apocalypse then be pain.
Anyone know good way to sort out high armoured units i.e. 2+ with necrons as that would me my annoying unit anything with a 2+ save lol

I would take a Deceiver over the Nightbringer against assault terminators, just to strike before the lightning claw guys (even if str 4 can't hurt toughness 8 ). Those stormshield still give me a headache though, it's sometimes better just to keep your distance and never let assault terminators charge anything.
What's quite annoying me is when I read about the new Guard codex, apparantly they're getting some new tank rule called "Lumbering Behemoth", so that their Leman russ variant tanks can move 6" and still fire pretty much all their guns (including ordinance). So I can just see a Leman Russ with a demolisher cannon on it that can move 6", fire an ordanance template up to the same range as a particle whip but with better str and AP (iirc), as well as firing any sponson guns it's got. It's starting to make monolith shooting look kind of weak (i.e. can't fire both flux arc and particle whip at the same time, overall firepower is weaker and can't move more than 6" anyway). Of course the Monolith has some very decent advantages over a Leman Russ of any variant, but it still kind of irks me that a highly advanced weapon that requires the entire energy output of a big Necron crystal to fire is out-performed by a large shell that's filled with plasma and built by superstitious zealots who barely understand what they're doing with technology.
Oh and the whole 5th edition sweeping advance rules, hurrah for Necrons who can get entirely wiped out within a single round of CC with ordinary Guardsmen ._.
