So, I'm going to a tournament tomorrow. My army is painted and based, my list is written. However, some of the biomorphs aren't shown on some models. The weapons are all fully WYSIWYG... but some of the stealers don't have flesh hooks. The tyrant doesn't have enhanced senses modelled. The stealers don't have toxin sacs shown.
Am I likely to be given hassle for this? For most armies wysiwyg is more a case of the weapons being what they are, but nids... well, toxin sacs could very easily be interior organs. Flesh hooks might be hidden in crevices. Toxic miasma could be farted out. Enhanced senses could just be sharper eyes.
Could I argue this at a tournament legally?
Should be ok as long as you make sure your opponent knows what everything has and explain explicitly what everything does.

Personally, as long as at least a couple of the beasties in a brood have the biomorph shown and you've paid the points for them, I couldn't be arsed if the flesh hooks were represented by a pencil coming out of the eyes.
And that's the way it should be at a tournament too. Although that's not always the case. I say go for it and if all else fails, throw a major hissy fit and declare the tournament to be full of a mature dairy product. If it worked for some guy at my local, it'll work for you.
P.S. How on Earth do people actually "model" toxic miasma anyway?
Some people sort of corrode the chitinous plating... that's the sort of thing you can very easily claim a model to have. How can you sculpt something invisible? Similarly for scuttlers, you can't very well represent a tactic on a model (though I've seen some very nice stealers converted to slink through tall grass)
Scuttlers and Leaping can just be said that they have, as long as its paid for, some people add things for them, most dont, just because they are more of an ability, not a bio-morph. As far as enhanced senses goes, my warriors didnt come with a specific head or body part to effectivly show this bio-morph, so ill just pay the points and say they have it, if someone argues, ill direct them to Games Workshop for not sending me the correct bits. As far as flesh hooks and toxin sacs, umm, well toxin sacs come a dime a dozen in a lot of boxes, and adding them to stealers wouldnt be that hard, if your pressed on time, again, say they have it, pay the points, if you field an army under, or exactly the points value, then you had to get to that point value somehow. If your list states you paid for the bio-morphs, you paid for them. If someone really wants to make a big deal, take any Tyranid with those sharp pointy talons, and jab him in the eye, because he is being ludicrous.
Also, just take flesh hooks from warriors, or carnifex or something and jam them onto your stealers torso, one or two models will do, ya know?

Worst case scenario? You COULD try to sculpt some quickies with Play-Doh...
I've modelled Flesh Hooks on my stealers by cutting up the torso hooks on the warriors sprue and sticking them to the tongues of standard stealer head with a tiny bit of green stuff and some glue.
Your Stealers shouldn't have toxin sacs anyway, if most of your opponents are MEq's as they decrease the effectiveness of your rends (Stupid wound allocation rules).
I always argue that the big spike on the Tyrants head is a sonar device and so it gets enhanced senses from that. No-one can argue with it as I've modelled a couple of extra lumps near the base, so it's technically a conversion without any effort :-).
At tournaments I always tend to contact a referee (or similar official) first to make sure of all this sort of thing. Obviously a bit late now, but mighht be an idea for the future.
When i go to tournaments and a model of mine is not modeled with every WYSIWYG then as i place the model on the board i mention the differences from the model and what i payed for in points. also i have a copy of my list with me that my opponent can look at during the game. I have never had a problem. No one gives me a problem with not having the stupid little sacs on the models for Toxic Sacs. Also the Flesh hook thing, Genestealers shoot them from their mouths, the models that don't have then are just not spitting them out right now.
Army's used: Space Wolves, Tomb Kings, High Elves, Tyranids, Tau and Eldar.
What about feeder tendrils? Would that be okay on just a couple or should I learn how to sculpt them properly and be converting a load of heads?
You can try to give Hive tyrant enhanced senses quickly by paint a slit in the eye like that of a cat or reptile. If most of your Tyranids have blank, yellow, green eyes and then the Hive tyrant has a slit in it's eyes then you might be able to claim it is enhanced senses.
