OK as per the wraithsight rules it is necesary to have a Farseer near a Wraithlord to avoid that inevitable turn of inactivity. What i was wondering is if you walked the Farseer up behind the Wraithlord would the enemy be able to target the Farseer as the indivdual charecter rules say that you cannot pick out an indpendant charecter if thee is a nearer model (or somthing to that effect). While this seems like a farily mean thing to do so is making our drednaught equivalant sit around on a roll of 1 so the worlds even.
you cannot shoot my harliquins because beneath their mask is an idea and ideas are bulletproof
The rule for not being able to pick up independent characters within a close range to another no longer exists - independent characters need to be in a squad now to prevent themselves from being picked out and shot at.
However, the WL can block line of sight. Some interpretive modelling may be needed though as the WL has weedy legs. Otherwise its just a 4+ cover, which is pretty useless seeing as you have a 4++ anyway.

Your IC ruling of not being picked out is 4th edition and targeting priority no longer applies in 5th edition. "Independent characters that have not joined a unit can be targeted as normal..."

A harlequin shadowseer also counts, but that would require a harlequin squad obviously.
