Hive tyrant (about 200 points)
136 gargoyles 1360
total-1500 points (About)
Could it work? And would it be good? (I'm not planning on doing this.)
But wouldn't it be awsome to see the look on the opponents face when you place 136 gargs on the field?

Except for the fact that Gargoyles are a Fast Attack choice.
So you are limited to 32x3 = 96 Gargoyle models.
You also need 2 Troop choices ... which can't be Winged or they become FA choices.
^^^^Yep. And you'd have problems against some units, such as Monoliths, Land Raiders, and units such as Wraithlords, Talos, etc.
R U 0K!??!? BUHHHHST WUUUULFFFFF!!!
All garg army...
I'd like to see that.... vs my all mighty BUG KILL action!
I bet it could work, fluff wise.
2 units of genesteelers, 1 winged tyrants and the rest gargs. That would be best and not have bad fluff if you got an imagination.
better take broods of spinegaunts, they are cheap so you can field a large number of them
Well all garg list is illegal as said but stick some gaunts in there... and you've got a pretty damn cool looking army!
I have seen a winged units heavy tyranid army.... tyrant with wings, warriors with wings, gargoyles and a squad of genestealers and 2 hormagaunt broods to make it legal, it looked pretty cool, saw them play one game they did have the speed advantage but still didnt win...
But still it would be a very interesting army!

I'm planning on doing that, everything possible with wings. I want to be across the feild before the 2nd turn

Sounds cool, better get good at converting gargs though because I doubt your gonna shell out all that money for the pewter ones.
As said, it also fits witht he fluff VERY well. It would be like a preliminary strike where the gargs go and gather information for the hive mind and batter down some of the defenses(you should know what Im talking about because you have read warriors of ultramar already right?)
As someone already mentioned, the max number you could field would be 96, unless they change the rules in the forthcoming codex. The biggest problem, as others have stated as well, would be dealing with vehicles. Just make sure that you can get your Warriors/Tyrant or Genestealers in there to take care of it. I'd suggest doing maybe three broods of 24 gargs, and then a small brood of winged warriors, and two small broods of stealers. Give the warriors some Rending claws and voila.
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
Well, I'm not only using gargs, it'de have alot of them though. This is what I've decided to start with.
8 Impaler guants
And $40 more of w/e (I need advice on this)
I want it to be fast. VERY Fast. Look good? The impaler guants and genestalers can infiltrate so they are sorta fast. And the only thing that would be slow are the warriors and rippers. Also do you think a fex would do well? Or should I get some more gargs and a biovore?
