    Raiders

It seems that for any reasonable 1500-2000 pt army each squad practically needs a Raider... Is this true? I'm gonna have to get a bunch more I think!

Well Scourges, Reavers, Mandrakes and Warp beasts won’t be needing transport but anything that you intend to get into assault will - like Wyches, Incubi, Archons and Archites.

So that will be taxis for each of those thanks very much.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.

Theres also no reason not to take one or two sniper squads at that points level, unless you really want a full raider rush army

well u should probly still take a couple sit back and shoot squads with 2 dark lances just incase i found the extra few long range high powered shots make abit of difference

I only find myself running the old 10 man sniper squads in small points games, anything 1500+ I generally mount everything on raiders. The 5 man "mini sniper" squads tend to do the same job and the extra raider has been a life saver (great for picking up wyches or other valuable squads that have had their raider destroyed/immobilized, or just contesting an objective.)

I love having spare raiders! Huge massive scary army of orks running at you? Take 2 or 3 of your empty raiders, and turboboost them right in front of the oncoming horde. Turn sideways when you get there, and quite literally form a "wall of raiders."

Your opponent can't move through them without destroying them. At which point they become difficult, and more importantly, dangerous terrain, ^.^;; And an exploding raider might kill a unit or two. Forcing an entire enemy unit to make dangerous terrain tests of loads of fun. Nob bikers are suddenly terrified!
[...] So I burst into his office and exclaimed, quite frankly, "That's Numberwang." As I recall it, he cried.

If you use that strategy a lot, CEL, I highly suggest upgrading those Raiders with Scythes. Orks roll lots of attacks, which means lots of ones!
