In a recent apocalypse game I had a unit of 6 grots in a raider with 3 haemonculi and Urien (can anybody say driveby?!). Their raider eventually got popped and they had to pile out. At which point my opponent wanted to pour his lasguns into the unit.
My question is:
Due to the grotesques having the majority toughness in the unit, and also being unable to take wounds from weapons < a certain strength would the opponent be able to shoot at the sqaud and cause wounds on the haemonculi within it? We were both undecided either way and rolled off for it in the end.
What would you do?
The grotesque's feel no pain says it ignores hits that aren't S6 or higher. Since you do not allocate hits (only wounds), unless the unit gets hit by a S6 weapon any attached characters are essentially untouchable.
Cool. thats how we thought it would work. Thanks for the help.
and don't forget that the same happens when they are riding a vehicle and it explodes - the strength 3 explosion doesn't harm anyone as they get to ignore it and any IC's inside get to as well.
