Welcome to Librarium Online!
Alright I was wondering (someone told me I could anotherwards) that you can use the old rules for old one eye and the red terror in apopocylpse. What do you all this about this as i took out my old books and reread about them and was some impressed. This going from the basis that apopcoypse lets you field the older units and would allow old character models too. feedback appreaciated.
My understanding is models such as the deathleaper, and old one eye, are completely legitimate if agreed upon by your opponent(s). I myself have a deathleaper, and on numerous occasions my opponents have ok'd me to utilize his special rules. Not sure if this has any bearing on apoc, but honestly I can;t see why there would be a difference.
the local game store is allow the old oop characters which is cool. But only for apopac games. I plan to enjoy using them there folly my enjoyment. Im not going to field old one eye as a character but use his model as I always have as a clawed taloned regeneration fex. I have always love that model and he has seen many a battle with me. The red terror I so plan on using a nice little suprise he is. Course so r the taloned gargoyles I am being allowed to feild. Ohh poor chaos marines, they gonna get picked on this time. gotta love apopcalypse.
There used to be a PDF archived on the australian site that was a set of updated rules for the Tyranids valid in 5th, but it looks like they took it down. I'm not sure about he apoc rules, but you could always just make two lists, one using them and one not and then ask your opponent before the game.
I'd have to agree with Subsocial, just make a plan b list in the event your opponent has an issue with the special characters. I use 3" pipe for my space marine drop pods and bring two lists in the even my opponent doesn't want me to use them, as they are a bit wider than the model.
Remember the "golden" rule somewhere on the first five pages of the rulebook, have fun. If it's fun for both people, then nothing else really matters.
