Good evening everyone. I have ran into a pressing dilemna. A friend of mine has turned to the chaos gods and started running approximately 50 plague marines. We tend to play apoc so I am not bound by the force organization chart. I also have access to every model, and the funds to purchase more. (pardon the campy Star Wars reference)
So please, how do I deal with these disgusting marines?
Help is appreciated

What have you found to have an effect so far? I'd guess fexes are pretty effective, try going heavy with these?
What I've found effective... nothing really. The thing about fexes is that they don't put out enough attacks to kill the squad before the hidden fists and plasma guns kill it. Thanks for the feed back though.
If you're low on attacks, try a dakkafex or dakka-tyrant with two twin linked devourers. A dakka tyrant gets twelve shots a round, rerolling to hit and to wound. A few of those should knock out a good amount of though cursed bastards! Another option, which is made all the better with the 5th edition rules on templates, is to go with a blast weapon on a carnifex, like the barbed strangler. Be sure to get ranged weapons on these bad boys, as the chaos would tear them up in close combats. A nice way to keep your dakka-tyrant alive is to give him wings, so he can avoid a charge and quickly get into cover. Good hunting!
Applaud, my friend, the Comedy is finished.
Hive Fleet Charybdis (1-0-0) and Grey Brothers Space Wolf Chapter (3-1-2) [W-L-T]
What about the formation with shedloads of gaunts WoN? Or a load of stealers to rend them to death?
Try giving Meiotic spores a shot. Yes they are 35 points a pop, but they are large blast, AP3 S5 spore mines, that release D6-1 spore mines after they blow up. Seems perfect for taking out those pesky plague marines to me, as it leaves them only their 4+ FnP save, meaning you kill half the ones you wound (on a 4+ too!). Best part about these guys is their rules provide for using them withing the Force Org chart if need be.
Also consider Barbed Hierodules. Again, kind of expensive points wise, but 48" Assault 6 instant kill weapons, seem pretty good against the plague marines.
I too would agree that the endless swarm isn't a bad option. Their rapid fire is a hindrance to them against that group.
For super survivability consider the Living fortress formation. 2+ saves all around along with FnP? Who cares if they're Slow and Purposeful eh?
Also remember in Apoc, that anything he can bring you can as well, and you can bring things from pretty much any army.
I hope this gives you some other ideas, and good luck in your next battle.
EDIT: You can find the datasheet for jy2's formation herehttp://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_...ller_Brood.pdf
If you have at least 3 screamer-killer carnifexes, then you'll like this apoc formation. There's this formation where if 3 S-K carnies w/bio-plasma are within, I believe, 3" of each other, then they can fire 1 S7 AP 2 plasma hellstorm template. That's gonna be a lot of dead MEQ's.
